Position Summary:
The A1 Audio Engineer is crucial in leading the audio production for various events, managing all technical aspects of sound from setup to execution. This part- time role is essential in maintaining the highest audio quality standards and meeting all client specifications.

Scope of Responsibilities:
• Manage the load-in and load-out of band equipment and rental gear, ensuring that all audio equipment is correctly set up and operational.
• Handle cabling, patching, audio adjustments, and console operation to deliver a professional mix during events.
• Carefully craft front of house, monitor, and broadcast mixes, ensuring audio levels and outputs meet the technical and creative standards of clients, artists, DJs, and bands.
• Serve as the main point of contact for audio issues, working closely with visiting audio technicians and production crews to facilitate successful events. Supervise stagehands and A2 engineers in the setup of audio production equipment.
• Oversee the upkeep, protection, and repair of all audio equipment, ensuring that it meets safety standards and functions optimally.
• Follow detailed audio plans and execute sound setups according to the run-of-show document, adapting to real-time adjustments as necessary.
• Assist the Production Manager with technical advances with artist representatives and ensure all special event audio needs are met with the utmost professionalism.
Skills and Qualifications:
• Extensive experience with top-tier PA systems such as D&B Audiotechnik, and L’Acoustics, as well as Pioneer DJ equipment and various active PA systems.
• Expertise in configuring and managing audio over network protocols including Dante, AES50, and other relevant audio transport standards.
• Advanced proficiency in setting up, configuring, and operating digital audio consoles from Midas, Behringer, Allen & Heath, Yamaha, Presonus, Digico, and Avid.
• Skilled in using various pro audio software platforms and DAWs including SMAART, Shure Wireless Workbench, D&B Arraycalc and R1, Dante Controller, Avid ProTools, Ableton Live, and Logic Pro.
• Minimum of 5 years in an audio engineering role, preferably managing audio for large-scale or high-profile events. Experience in touring or festival settings is a significant plus.
• Proficiency in modern audio systems and digital audio workstations.
• Excellent communication skills to effectively coordinate with teams and manage client relations.
• High School Diploma required; a college degree in Audio Engineering or a related field is preferred.
