Currently, ManTech is seeking a motivated, career and customer-oriented
Technical Writer
to join our team in the
Lexington Park, MD
location. This position is 100% onsite.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:Develop and edit material for reports, briefs, and related technical publicationsOrganize material and complete writing assignments to established standards regarding order, clarity, conciseness, style, and terminologyPerforms technical writing assignments with direction from senior writers or supervisor using prescribed formats with sample materialsReceives and incorporates technical information provided by the development team Engineers and Production personnel, to review technical documentation, to ensure the understanding required to perform writing assignmentsMay be required to work independently on projects requiring research and preparation of briefing charts and other presentation materialsMinimum Qualifications:
High School Diploma or GED with minimum of five (5) years of professional experience relevant to DoD Technical Documents preparation / editingMinimum 2 years' experience directly related to military aircraft technical data productsMinimum of 2 years' experience in S-1000-D formattingPreferred Qualifications:
Experience with Microsoft Office and Teams applicationsExcellent written and verbal communication skillsStrong organizational and time management skills; must be able to multitask, prioritize, and manage deadlinesMust be able to work collaboratively in a cross-functional team environmentClearance Requirements:
Secret clearance requiredU.S. Citizenship requiredPhysical Requirements:
Must be able to remain in a stationary position 50% of the timeConstantly operates a computer and other office productivity machinery, such as a calculator, copy machine and computer printerMove about freely in an office / laboratory setting
The projected compensation range for this position is $65,300.00-$108,600.00. There are differentiating factors that can impact a final salary/hourly rate, including, but not limited to, Contract Wage Determination, relevant work experience, skills and competencies that align to the specified role, geographic location (For Remote Opportunities), education and certifications as well as Federal Government Contract Labor categories. In addition, ManTech invests in it's employees beyond just compensation.
