Job Description: Our client is looking for a talented web writer/editor to join their team.

The focus of the position will be on web content strategy/improvement (as opposed to writing fact sheets). Key tasks are to:
• Review web pages and recommend ways to pare down and reorganize content
• Organize and write new web content
• Review and suggest improvements to metadata

This person should be very organized and detail oriented web writer/editor. Ideally they will have done site redesign/content overhaul projects. And ideally they will have worked with health or public health content, such as immunizations and respiratory diseases.

Basic Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s Degree in Public Health, Health Communications, Communications or related field with a minimum of 6 years of experience.
• 6 years of experience in digital communications field, including content strategy development, content analysis, and content management for high traffic, content heavy websites.
• 4 years of experience in writing content for the web and using plain language.
• Strong attention to detail and precise editing.
• Strong interpersonal skills and ability to effectively engage with executive level customers.
• Proven ability to build consensus and work effectively within a cross-departmental team.
• Problem solving, solution oriented, consultative mindset.
• Ability to juggle multiple projects at one time and prioritize work to customer satisfaction.

Preferred Qualifications:
• Master’s Degree in Public Health, Health Communications, Communications or related field.
• Experience in Public Health or Health communications.
• Experience developing website information architecture and web layout.
• Experience/understanding of Search Engine Optimization (SEO).
