Blue Ivory Creative (Blue Ivory Content) is looking for full-time and contract writers to create and edit content for some of the world’s top WordPress brands.
Do you have a passion for open-source, real-world experience, and a talent for writing? We’re looking for you!
You’ll write on topics centered around:
— How to grow your WooCommerce store
— How to use plugins or extensions to improve your website, marketing, or operations
— Technical instructions for implementing advanced dev tasks
— Hosting best practices and comparisons
— Marketing best practices using email, SMS, SEO, and paid ad strategies.

Samples
Qualified candidates will be able to present several long-form writing samples (published or purposefully written to demonstrate your potential) related to WordPress, hosting, or marketing.
Ideal candidates:
Believe in the idea of open-source and are a contributing member of the WordPress community.
Are able to provide and accept feedback with a positive attitude and quickly adjust based on ever-changing guidelines and client expectations.
Can adapt to detailed editorial guidelines that may change from assignment to assignment.
Are up-to-date on the latest in WordPress and able to take initiative to go above and beyond (experimenting with the tools you write about, etc.)
Have real-world development, agency, or marketing experience.
Are able to write about actionable ideas from experience — don’t just tell people that they should do something… tell them what the something is, specifically, and the “how.”
Are detail-oriented in their editing process
Are able to accept constructive criticism with a positive attitude and learn from feedback to improve future articles.
Can work independently with minimal supervision.
Are willing to learn our writing guidelines and adapt their writing style and editing process to fit.
Are U.S. or U.K.-based, native English speakers.
