Job Description
Position Purpose: Serve as the architect of visual storytelling through video production and ensure the seamless execution of worship and special event livestreams. This role is responsible for capturing, producing, and editing videos that tell the story of our mission, ministries, and community life. Additionally, oversee all livestream operations, ensuring high-quality broadcasts for worship services and special events, with a focus on creating engaging, accessible online experiences that enhance the connections for people both in-person and online.

Direct Report: Director of Communications
Position Schedule: Full Time (Sunday-Thursday)
POSITION OUTCOMES/EXPECTATIONS:
- Produce video projects from conception to completion, including consultations with appropriate stakeholders from pre-production to post-production process
- Review filming outlines to create a shot decision list based on scenes value and continuity
- Create video projects and motion graphics, as needed, from rough cuts through finished products
- Transport, set up, and operate all lighting and video equipment on filming location in addition to scheduling and capturing any necessary b-roll as needed for interview, talking-head, and promotional footage
- Continuously seek out and implement new editing technologies and industry best-practices to maximize efficiency
- Direct Sunday worship livestreams as well as a variety of church forums/events at Christ Presbyterian Church’s Old Hickory Blvd campus, while supporting livestreaming efforts at Music Row and Cool Springs campuses
- Work with Shared Services Production Team with regards to volunteer management and opportunities to learn and grow in the areas of live event production
- Continuously improve quality of Sunday livestream and other broadcasts
- Train volunteers and coach contractors to ensure a consistent high quality livestream experience for viewers, including the creation/curation of livestream broadcast process documentation
- Support, train, and consult church ministry teams with video-related inquiries
- Manage YouTube and SoundCloud channels, ensuring high-quality, well-organized, and consistent video/audio content while integrating updates with the WordPress website
- Consistently evaluate equipment needs, research potential purchases, and acquire it through the appropriate approval process within the annual videography budget
Education and Experience
- Bachelor’s degree preferred
- Minimum four (4) years of experience with Video Production and Livestream Management
- Provide a strong portfolio demonstrating skills as a cinematographer and editor
- Experience producing a story, interviewing people from behind the camera
- Experience with digital technology in non-linear editing (i.e. – Adobe Premiere Pro or Final Cut)
- Experience with Adobe After Effects valued, but not required
Skills, Abilities, and Attributes
- Demonstrated knowledge of timing, pace, and continuity as shown in a portfolio of projects
- Creative mind and appreciation for storytelling and vision
- Strong editing suite skills
- Knowledge of how to optimize video for the web-based consumption
- Ability to pivot and adapt to spontaneous livestream changes
- Strong interpersonal and written communication skills
Requirements

- All employees must commit to performing their duties in accordance with the stated mission and purpose of the church, Christ Presbyterian Church Policies and Procedures Manual, Christ Presbyterian Church 101 course completion, and the Westminster Confession of Faith
- Membership at Christ Presbyterian Church is required
