POSITION: Freelance Content Writer  - 10+ hours per week

About You 

Gemini is looking for a freelance content writer to assist with content creation for our clients. You will report directly to our content manager from whom you will receive assignments to research, write, edit, and occasionally publish. As our freelance writer you will: 

• Research and write about a variety of topics in a compelling, accurate, and entertaining way 
• Write with SEO and content best practices in mind
• Make deadlines, communicate clearly, and turn in high quality content that requires minimal edits
• If you have experience giving and receiving constructive feedback as part of a larger creative team, that’s a huge plus. 
  

Requirements: 

• 2+ years of experience writing clear, persuasive, original content (preferably for digital marketing, advertising, or a similar field) 
• Familiarity with SEO and content best practices (keyword strategy implementation, blog and page structure, writing metadata, etc.) 
• Ability to quickly familiarize yourself with clients’ products and services, their target audience, and competitors via independent research 
• Great attention to detail (which includes the ability to proofread content for spelling and grammatical errors) 
• Ability to work on several campaigns and clients at once, sometimes under pressure and often on tight deadlines
• A strong portfolio of creative work that demonstrates superior writing skills (please include examples with your application) 
• WordPress experience is a plus

Responsibilities:

• Provide writing and proofreading support on multiple, fast-paced projects with the ability to switch between them seamlessly (blogs, articles, case studies, web copy, white pages, etc.)
• Deliver all assigned content on time while maintaining readability, quality, and the appropriate strategy of the assignment 
• Collaborate with with the content manager and content team to conceive innovative and engaging content ideas 
• Utilize SEO and content best practices 
• Respond to constructive feedback from the content manager and incorporate requested changes in a timely fashion as needed
