Read further to learn how you could help make great things possible not only in your community, but around the world.In the role of Mechanical Design Coordinator, we'll count on you to:Coordinate mechanical aspects of commercial or institutional projectsPerform routine mechanical engineering assignments requiring application of standard techniques and proceduresWrite and edit mechanical specifications, and select mechanical systems and devicesUtilize engineering software to develop HVAC loads, energy analysis and mechanical equipment selectionsPrepare construction documents for HVAC and plumbing design of buildings, including drawings, specifications and reportsWork independently on small projects, or assist more-senior engineers on larger projectsSupervise work of Mechanical CAD Technicians, and coordinate design of assigned projects with architectural staff and other engineering disciplinesTake responsibility for construction contract administration requiring field inspections and conflict resolutionPerform other duties as neededPreferred Qualifications Master's degree in Architectural Engineering with Mechanical emphasisEngineer in Training (EIT) certificateCandidates hired without their EIT will have the title of "Coordinator" and will be expected to obtain their EIT for career progression.Healthcare, Science and Technology and/or Civic facilities experienceExperience and/or interest in sustainable design/LEED desired but not requiredPrevious experience with an architectural/engineering or engineering consulting firmRequired QualificationsBachelor in Mechanical EngineeringStrong computer skills (Microsoft Office, Trane TRACE or similar software, and equipment selection software)An attitude and commitment to being an active participant of our employee-owned culture is a mustWhat We BelieveHDR is our company.
