Job Purpose:
Manage all aspects of Sony Music Publishing's (SMP) Recording Studios at their Hollywood, CA office. The Manager, Recording Studios oversees the daily operations of the recording studio, ensuring a smooth and efficient workflow. This role involves managing Studio Assistants, coordinating studio schedules, maintaining equipment, and providing exceptional service to songwriters, artists, and clients.
What You'll Do: (job responsibilities)
Manage and facilitate daily operation and maintenance of SMP's Recording studios in their Hollywood, CA officeFulfill studio requests, maintain calendar of studio sessions, and assign audio engineers/studio assistants, ensuring optimal use of studio time and resourcesSupport each session with production set up, technical needs, and breakdown with audio engineers/studio assistants, facilitate access to studios for songwriters/artistsEnsure optimum operating condition of all facility equipment, including coordinating the inspection, repair, and maintenance of equipmentStay updated on new technologies and recommend upgrades or replacements as necessaryOversee that studios and lounge area are stocked, cleaned, and organizedMaintain accurate records of studio sessions for billback purposes to songwriter/artist accounts and external invoicing, as appropriateProvide Purchase Orders to audio engineers for studio sessions, as appropriateDevelop and oversee budget for repairs and maintenance of studio equipment and procurement of studio supplies and materialsOversee, manage, and train Studio Assistant(s) Supervise and train studio staff, including sound engineers and techniciansBuild and maintain positive relationships with clients and artists, address client inquiries, concerns, and feedback promptly and professionallyInvestigate and resolve songwriter/artist related issues and complaints, maintain and monitor records of all incident reportsImplement policies, procedures and programs to ensure company standards are maintainedHandle sensitive & confidential information with discretion and the utmost professionalismWho You Are: (skills and experience required)
Extensive knowledge of studio operations and facility management is requiredExcellent communication and interpersonal skillsSelf-starting, resourceful collaborator with strong ability to identify problems and create solutionsDetail oriented and strong follow-through skillsTrained on medical devices located at facilitiesProficient in Microsoft suiteMust be authorized to work in the United States7.5-hour business workday but variations in work volume may require extended/flexible working hoursWhat We Give You:

The anticipated annual base salary for this position is $90,000-$100,000. This range does not include any other compensation components or other benefits that an individual may be eligible for.
