This role reports directly to the Director, Data & CRM. The salary range for this position is $100,000 - $120,000. This position is located at the Aspen Institute’s Washington, D.C. office and is expected to work from the office at least 40% of the time.WHAT YOU WILL DOManage and optimize the Salesforce Marketing Cloud environment.Work with our Salesforce implementation partner to configure, manage, and support the Marketing Cloud environment including journeys, data extensions, users, user roles, connectors, business units, and integrations.Oversee maturation of the Marketing Cloud platform, continuously improving and fine-tuning it to meet the Institute’s specific needs.Maintain a high awareness of trends and best practices in digital marketing and the Salesforce ecosystem.Support data hygiene, segmentation, and personalization within Marketing Cloud.Understand industry best practices, email regulations, and compliance measures related to email development and delivery.Monitor deliverability reports and make appropriate configuration changes.Provide guidance to colleagues on best practices, features, and capabilities of Marketing Cloud.Perform Salesforce/Nonprofit Cloud administration as needed.WHAT YOU WILL NEED TO THRIVE5+ years of relevant experience and an Undergraduate degree or higher in marketing or computer science, or equivalent combination of education, certifications, and experience.Salesforce Marketing Cloud Certifications: Salesforce Marketing Cloud Administrator and Email Specialist certifications required, and Developer certification preferred.Technical expertise with audience segmentation, data models, and data extensions.Excellent communication skills to support interaction with a broad array of internal stakeholders.PreferredNonprofit industry experience; in-house experience at a large, federated organization with multiple programs, issue areas, or campaigns a plus.Experience with email marketing and campaign automation.Experience with SFMC Journey Builder, Email Studio, Contact Builder, Interaction Studio, Business Units, and using Salesforce Data Extensions.ADDITIONAL INFORMATIONThe Aspen Institute offers a generous benefits package including health, dental, vision, and prescription benefits, retirement benefits, and paid leave.The Aspen Institute is an Equal Opportunity Employer and complies with all District and federal laws.
