Make sure to read the full description below, and please apply immediately if you are confident you meet all the requirements.To contribute to the mechanical modeling and drafting of mechanical and electromechanical machines, large manufacturing plant systems, and related piping. This position involves collaborating with senior engineering personnel and may include assisting with the pre- and post-installation of machines and plant systems at customer facilities.
Responsibilities: Perform 3D modeling and 2D detailing/drafting of manufacturing drawings using SolidWorks.Develop Bills of Material (BOM) for purchasing.Conduct shop and field measurements to ensure systems meet design specifications.Complete project assignments on schedule by reviewing project specifications, customer requirements, and deadlines.Coordinate and schedule project tasks with production, project managers, and electrical engineers.Monitor project budgets and verify compliance.Conduct post-project reviews to identify areas for improvement.Collaborate with project and sales managers to review desired functions of machines and equipment and user interface requirements.Discuss schematics with customers' representatives to address questions.
Requirements: Associate's Degree or higherProficiency with SolidWorks 3D CAD software (preferred), AutoCAD 2D software, Excel, and Word.3+yrs of related Drafting/Design experience.Experience with modeling/drafting of electromechanical components and assemblies is preferred.
