Job title: Media Content Specialist
Client: Medical Device Manufacturing Company
Duration: 12 months contract role
Location: 100% remote (Virtual Minnesota 55448)
Shift timings: Mon Fri (30-40 hours)

  • Expertise crafting compelling copy for digital spaces including email, digital ads, and video
  • Deep understanding of how to create copy that aligns with marketing goals and how to tailor content to different target audiences

  • Ability to convey messages clearly and succinctly

Education Required:
Bachelor's degree in Marketing Communications, Communications, or Journalism

Years' Experience Required:
4 years

Content Management (Editorial) Specialist Marketing Communications

Responsibilities may include the following and other duties may be assigned.

Content Development (60%)

  • Experience developing high-quality, brand-right content across traditional print, digital, and social media
  • Write and edit marketing materials for product launches, omni channel campaigns, and other key initiatives
  • Write and edit technical content with precision and skill
  • Create clean, bold, and engaging content that adheres to the Client verbal brand identity and complies with legal and regulatory standards
  • Participate in project input meetings and brainstorms

Project Management (15%)

  • Responsible for end-to-end editorial process: writing, editing, proofreading, and fact-checking
  • Balance multiple projects and clients while ensuring quality is maintained and quick timelines are met
  • Ability to organize, multitask, and manage your time
  • Work closely with Project Management team to meet assigned tasks in a timely manner

Collaboration (10%)

  • Engage with internal cross-functional partners to produce relevant, targeted content
  • Collaborate closely with Creative Media + Design peers to produce effective content quickly
  • Communicate clearly and professionally to share ideas, status, and solutions
  • Exemplify a culture of editorial excellence, accountability, collaboration, and problem-solving

Quality Control (15%)

  • Ensure accuracy and attention to detail by understanding and applying the master brand guidelines, content creation process, and internal proofing
  • Adhere to project workflow processes and procedures

Must-Have Skills:

  • Solid storytelling skills
  • Experience writing content from the ground up
  • Effective communicator
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office (i.e., Word, PowerPoint, Excel, and Teams) and Adobe Acrobat
  • Comfort adhering strictly to house style guide and brand guidelines
  • Excellent attention to detail, time management, and adherence to workflow processes
  • Fast learner with the ability to quickly adapt to an ever-changing environment
  • Solid communication, listening, and collaboration skills
  • Clear and professional communication with clients
  • Ability to take and implement feedback effectively
  • Deliver high-quality work on time

Nice-To-Have Skills:

  • Experience in the medical device, healthcare, or other highly regulated industry
  • Curious and passionate about the customer experience
  • Fundamental understanding for how copy complements design
  • Experience writing effective content about complex topics in a matrixed environment
  • Knowledge of project management tools such as Workfront, Infowit, or BaseCamp
  • Experience with cloud-based tools such as SharePoint, OneDrive, etc.
