Salary: $25-$35 per hour; fee for service

Community Support Worker Staffing agency are recruiting for a Fast growing Core Service Agency (CSA) in DC is seeking dynamic motivated and ambitious professionals to provide wrap-around mental health services to adults 18 yrs and older. The Worker is responsible for rendering supportive services to all clients (youth and/or adult) to their assigned case load, maintaining the program services in a professional, stable and safe manner while implementing, documenting, and monitoring clients progress towards their individualized goals.


WHAT WE TEACH OUR CLIENTS: Self-care skills–hygiene, nutrition, self-administration and compliance with medication; Social skills–community integration activities, interactive skills with peers and authority figures, developing natural supports, and supporting the child’s participation in community activities; Independent living skills–maintenance of personal living space, community awareness, mobility skills, money management, and accessing available entitlements; Cultural and spiritual activities; Behavioral/Emotional self-management–conflict resolution, anger management, time management, maintaining age-appropriate boundaries; Promotion of illness self-management–education and information about mental illness, effective strategies to assist in managing illness, warning signs of relapse, helpful interventions; Education and employment support.


WHAT OUR CLIENTS NEED FROM YOU: Establish and maintain empowering, trust relationships with youth and their families by utilizing communication and counseling skills. Provide direct psychiatric rehabilitation services and skills training in clients natural environment. Facilitate the development of individualized rehabilitation plans and monitors progress toward achievement of stated goals. Ensure that youth can count on you for their rehabilitation and support. Provides rehabilitation services through on-site group activities, individual sessions in clients natural environment, and in creative and fun community activities (you choose as long as it is engaging!).


Experience


  • Bachelors Degree in Human Service or Health field preferred and/or 4 years of Case Management Experience.


Requirements


  • Driver’s license and safe driving record required (no more than 2 points),
  • Valid certificate of automobile insurance
  • Criminal background check
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
  • Strong time management and organizational skills
  • Computer literacy
  • Flexibility/adaptability
  • Ability to work independently and on a team
  • Reliable transportation
  • Valid driver’s license
  • Current CPR Certification (or ability to secure it within 30 days of hire)


Training and development provided for all staff! Flexible schedules.


Bilingual a plus!
