Job Reports To: Pressroom Manager
This position is responsible for assisting with the safe and efficient operation of the sheet-fed
press, web press, stitcher-trimmer, folder / trimmer, and other machinery critical to the
production of printed materials. It is the entry level position in our press room.
Job Functions
The successful candidate must be dependable, self-starting, attentive to details and receptive to
training. This position actively assists with the following duties:
Feeding papers into pockets on the stitcher-trimmer. Bundling, strapping, and palletizing
finished product, and preparing pallets for shipping.
Operation of the cutter / folder for finished gloss products.
Staging and feeding gloss paper in the sheet-fed paper.
Maintain quality control by observing flaws and correcting them or bringing them to the
attention of other press operators.
Maintain a safe, clean, and productive work area and follow all company, local, state, and
federal regulations.
This position may be trained to operate forklifts and electric pallet jacks.
Minimum Requirements:
Track record of dependability with demonstrated ability to consistently report on time for
assignments.
Ability to read and interpret written instructions and job jackets.
Technology Skills:
Ability to be trained in the safe and efficient operation of machinery mentioned above.
Physical Demands:
Frequent standing, walking, squatting, bending at the waist, and carrying.
Ability to lift and carry 50 pounds.
Education:
High school diploma or equivalent work experience preferred.
Pay: $16-$17/hour
