Job Description
The Audio Visual Project Manager will be responsible for overseeing the coordination, implementation, and completion of AV Projects to the highest quality standards and client satisfaction. Strong initiative and a sense of ownership will be required to ensure that your projects are completed on time and on budget. The AV Project Manager will oversee all technicians and materials assigned to their project including task assignments, technician training, and quality control. This person must always possess the ability to interact with Co-Workers, Customers, and End Users in a professional and courteous manner.
Responsibilities
· Acts as single point of responsibility and accountability for their projects.
· Coordinate with Sales and Engineering team for initial project turnover including review of all project documents, drawings, scope of work, and construction schedule.
· Create and manage project timelines and schedules for each project to ensure completion within budget and to customer satisfaction.
· Facilitate internal kick-off meeting with Project Foreman and Lead Technicians
· Create material purchase orders and monitor equipment shipments.
· Oversee in-house system staging and equipment testing before shipping equipment to site.
· Monitor and update daily task list to keep customer and management updated on project progress.
· Facilitate Sub-Contract labor when applicable
· Regularly inspect quality of work performed by Internal Technicians and subcontractors
· Ensure all systems are installed per original design and operate as intended.
· Coordinate the development and delivery of documentation including submittals equipment manuals, training materials, and as-built drawings, programming files, test results, and close-out documentation
· Coordinate and/or provide training to client
· Out of State travel to various job sites required
· Must be dependable and punctual
Qualifications
· Minimum of 3 years of experience as an Audio Visual Project Manager in a commercial construction setting
· Ability to supervise multiple teams of Technicians and Sub-contractors when required
· Ability to multi-task and effectively manage multiple projects in the same time frame
· Strong written and verbal communication skills
· Ability to read architectural prints, AV/ low voltage wiring diagrams, project schedules and other technical construction documents
· Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Microsoft Project, Outlook)
· Understanding of project financials including revenue, budget, profit margins
· Working knowledge of CAD software (Autocad, Bluebeam, Stardraw, Visio)
· Excellent time management and organizational skills
· CTS certification strongly preferred
· Industry certifications (Crestron, Extron, QSC, Biamp, etc.) strongly preferred
· Must have the ability to pass a background check
· Must have a valid driver’s license with clean driving record
