Job Summary

Responsible for operating machinery that forms material into 3D decals by molding, backfilling, laser cutting, and/or laminating to create finished products.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
  • Receives flat product stock from Material Handler.
  • Determines priority of jobs by analyzing production schedule.
  • Sets up machinery according to job specification.
  • Reviews and verifies tolerances of blueprints and ensures forming plates are in tolerance.
  • Runs all jobs according to customer and BGS requirements, submitting first sheet for approval to AutoChrome Supervisor.
  • Continually monitors adherence to the approved first sheet at a predetermined interval and stops if any deviation is noted.
  • Performs corrective action if necessary if product defect is noted.
  • Performs tear down tasks following run completion.
  • Records accurate production activities in quality management system.
  • Fills resin tanks when needed and changes barrel when empty on backfill machinery.
  • Operates automatic laminator unit to attach adhesive on Kromex material.
  • Sets up and operates laser to cut Kromes parts to BGS and customer specifications.
  • Performs complete tear down of the backfill mixer at the end of the work week
  • Performs preventative maintenance as needed including oiling and greasing machine parts.
  • Understands and implements company policies and safety regulations in all aspects of duties performed in this role.
  • Maintains cleanliness of work area and equipment.

Supervisory Responsibilities

This job has no supervisory responsibilities. Carries out conduct and leadership responsibilities professionally in accordance with company policies, procedures, safety, and applicable laws.

Education and/or Experience

High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or three to six months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Language Skills

Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals in English. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence in English. Ability to speak effectively with small groups of customers or employees of BGS.


Mathematical Skills

Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to

compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.

Reasoning Ability

Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions. Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standard situations.
