Creative Media Coordinator

Hours: Full-Time
Reports To: Creative Media & Marketing Director
Purpose of Position: The Creative Media Coordinator uses Creative Media and social media platforms to engage the online and in-person community at GO Church, connecting them with the purpose and mission of the church.
Experience and Education Required:
- A content portfolio demonstrating work.
- Experience in graphic design and video apps; Canva, CapCut, Adobe, etc.
- Knowledge of good design principles
- Knows best practices & tools for publishing content to social media.
- Experience with using professional cameras such as Canon, Nikon, Sony, etc.
- Video creation experience.
- Social media management experience.
- Experience with Meta Ads and Google Ads preferred.
- Certification or relevant degree in the field of digital media preferred.

Essential Functions and Responsibilities:
Creative Media within the church is a dynamic field that encompasses social media, design, photography, marketing, and communications. Staying on top of skills in these areas and utilizing them will be the responsibility of the Creative Media Coordinator.
At GO Church, the Creative Media & Marketing Dept. serves other ministries as well as the organization as a whole with their marketing needs. The Creative Media Coordinator will assist with this, serving in the essential areas of content creation, social media planning, and digital marketing, to meet the goals and objectives of GO Church.
In addition, we are all about involving volunteers! We strive to connect talent & passion with purpose by connecting them to the creative process. The Creative Media Coordinator will do this through the Social Media Team.
Here are some of the regular responsibilities of this position:
- SOCIAL MEDIA
- Create amazing social media content, individually and with others.
- Manage the social media account DMs, comments, etc.
- Write engaging copy/captions.
- Keep metrics and track engagement.
- Manage social media volunteers.
- Create ads.
- Work with the team to advise, plan, and create social media campaigns.
- Work with event organizers to market and capture social media content.
- CREATIVE MEDIA
- Work with the Creative Media & Marketing Director to plan project timelines, calendar, and resources for marketing.
- Create content for the various mediums used at GO Church.
- Maintain workflows for content creation that are efficient and understandable.
- Assist with video production.
- Manage weekly content creation schedule efficiently.
- Assist with Podcast production.
- MISC. RESPONSIBILITIES
- Assist the Dept. with content production (we all help each other out).
- Work with the Creative Media & Marketing Director on marketing initiatives.
- Help the Dept. protect brand integrity in content creation and design.
- Report the use of Comic Sans, Papyrus, or any other offending fonts :)
- Laugh at all dad jokes.
Personal Responsibilities:
- Maintain a vital and growing personal walk with the Lord through committed personal Bible study, prayer, and fasting.
- Maintain proper priorities in your relationship with Christ, your spouse/family.
- Must stand in alignment with GO Church and Church of God “Doctrinal Commitments”.
- Must be in alignment and loyal to the GO Church Vision, Mission, Core Values and Value Proposition.
- Strict adherence to the GO Church Leadership Honor Code.
- Always protect the unity and integrity of the church.
- Invest and invite unchurched people to know Jesus and come to Church.
- Financially support the mission and vision of the Church by faithfully giving at least 10% of your gross income. Maintain wise stewardship measures over the remaining 90%.
- Be punctual to all Gatherings, Conferences and Meetings.
- Maintain a neat and professional appearance.
