The Role

This position will have responsibility of creating and moving the technical content component of training material development through to a completed course for the Air Conditioning Technologies division. At least 80% of the job responsibilities are the creation of Technical Training Content for the LG Training Academies. Using technical knowledge gained from personal experience, Global Training resources, Engineering and factory contacts, and any other sources (to include industry, additional internal, etc.) to develop courses for LG Products supporting our customers (Reps, Distributors, and contractors) with information on installation, service, and troubleshooting.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following:
  • Using the Global Training Repository as a foundation for training content, identify gaps or supplemental adjustments to meet the needs of the US Market and fill the gaps to make the content relative to the American market.
  • Identify Gaps in the information and use the resources available to fill those gaps
  • Work with the Training Content Development Specialist to produce a final version of the complete training course
  • Information Coordination- Know the products for which the training is being developed in order to understand and identify what is relevant and what is not to train the installation, service, and troubleshooting aspects of the products.
  • Work with internal and external departments, factory and HVAC product design team members on the development of supporting documentation
  • Accelerate the course development cycle to a maximum of 90 days.
  • Develop tracking for content development and track completion rates for development planning purposes
  • Design, develop and distribute technical training tools and other end-user documentation
  • Maintain online version of courses

Duties and Responsibilities related to the Creation of Course Content:
  • Vendor Management- Research, vet, analyze, select, process, and manage all issues related to vendor support of Training Content
  • Contract Processing- Once a contractor (Vendor) is selected, this role will move the contract through Procurement, Legal, and sometimes Marketing processes before it can be executed
  • Finance- Secure the budget working with Marketing to acquire an MPN (when required), accounting, and any other resource, to acquire approval for the funds necessary, process invoices, coordinate with Finance, and any other component from the organization to ensure funding and payment processing in order to keep moving projects forward
  • Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications
  • 10 Years HVAC Sales (Distributor / Manufacturer / Contractor) VRF / DFS experience
  • Minimum 5 year record of successful technical training experience HVAC Sales (Distributor / Manufacturer / Contractor) VRF / DFS experience
  • Must be able to have a minimum of three training courses in development and moving forward at any one point in time
  • Strong math and analytics skills with structured problem solving skills
  • Strong detail orientation and organization skills
  • Collaborative problem-solver
  • Excellent computer skills. Proficiency in PowerPoint, Excel, Word and other standard computer applications
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills to interact with various levels of organization and customers

Salary Range $75,000- 93,500

This base pay range is based on US national averages. Actual base pay could be a result of seniority, merit, geographic location where the work is performed.
