We are currently recruiting a

Senior Innovation Designer

to join our client in the investment banking industry to join their dynamic and fast-paced Innovation team! In this role you will work as part of a high-performance team responsible for the discovery of new digital products, services, and businesses from Ideation through Minimum Valuable Product.

The work involves navigating uncharted territory, with more unknowns than knowns. You must be comfortable with ambiguity and exhibit a startup mentality—someone who can quickly pivot, embrace challenges, and dive into the messiness of innovation. As part of our multidisciplinary team, you should be adept at presenting ideas and pitching solutions to diverse internal and external senior stakeholders across various stages of the process.

We value a culture of experimentation and continuous evolution. You will need to adapt rapidly to emerging tools and ways of working as we continuously push the boundaries of what is possible with prototyping. We are looking for someone who contributes immediately to our group and can apply their knowledge, capacities and experience to our current portfolio of ideas, and help support emerging concepts.

Job RequirementsBased in Jersey City, NJ or Boston, MA and willing to be on site 3 days/weekDeep understanding of experience design, graphic design, typography, data-visualization, animation, and user interfaces principles.Creative thinking with a proactive approach to problem-solving and the design process, with attention to detail and a focus on delivering results under tight deadlines.Stellar communication skills and fluency in pitching creative concepts confidently to a range of stakeholders, both internal and external.Curious nature continuously exploring and evaluating the frameworks and techniques being shared in innovation, design and product ecosystems, ensuring our work remains cutting-edge and relevant.Advanced proficiency in Figma, Photoshop, PowerPoint, and Illustrator.Bonus: Proficiency in a complementary technical skill, including but not limited to coding, animation, data visualization, or other technical skills that enhance your creative work.

Desired Skills & Experience4+ years of professional experience as a Senior Designer, Interaction Designer, Design Engineer, Creative Technologist, Creative Director, or equivalent roleProven ability to work in environments characterized by rapid change, ambiguity, and high expectations. E.g., Consulting Agencies focused on

Innovation Strategy, Founding Designers of venture-backed companies, Innovation departments from market leadersTrack record of successfully launching bold creative initiatives, and a portfolio showcasing both the work done and the processes followed.A degree in Graphic Design, Product Design, Industrial Design, or equivalent preferred but not required.Bonus: Notable achievements such as industry awards (e.g., Red Dot, Awwwards) or published research papers.
