ABOUT THE ROLE:Swoon is seeking a New England Field Marketing Lead to serve as a dedicated brand expert. This unique opportunity will allow you to shape our brand and drive our growth to new heights! We are looking for a candidate with field marketing experience and is used to working in a highly collaborative partnership with sales. You are goal-oriented and thrive in a fast-paced environment. The ideal candidate will excel at building connections, possess strong communication skills, and manage multiple events and responsibilities simultaneously.
In this role, you will work in the field, manage the demo schedule, coordinate shifts with retail stores, and oversee 1-2 Brand Ambassadors in the area. You will also participate in retail demos, events, and guerrilla sampling to enhance brand awareness, drive company growth, and increase sales. This position will report directly to the Marketing Director and collaborate closely with the Northeast Sales Director.
YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES:Sales and Marketing:Manage all Northeast demo coordination and serve as the brand expert, scheduling and executing- retail demos, tastings, events, and guerrilla samplings in partnership with the Northeast Sales Director.Collaborate with the Marketing Director to develop partnership strategies and host “Sip and Shop” events with like-minded partners in the wellness, beauty, and fashion industries to drive brand awareness and trial.Use your knowledge of the local market to plan out a comprehensive event and sampling calendar every month to ensure we are getting “cans in hands.”Plan product drops to strengthen relationships with influential accounts and partnerships.Utilize Repsly to track demos and events, staying informed of customer and consumer trends, feedback, and insights.Maintain a calendar of activities and promotions, ensuring effective communication with distributors and sales teams.Provide a monthly market activity report, including objectives, accomplishments, competitive activities, special projects, and any needs.Opportunity to drive the Swoon Fleet Vehicle to events along with field assets (10x10 canopy tent, barrel cooler, table, cases of product, etc.).Opportunity to accompany distributor sales representatives as needed and participate in out-of-market sales blitzes.
Financial & Administrative Requirements:Timely submission of weekly invoicing and reporting.Manage assigned demo requests and bookings with Brand Ambassadors.Oversee onboarding and virtual training.
WAYS TO STAND OUT IN THE CROWD:
1-2+ years of relevant field marketing experience, ideally in a CPG, health, or wellness startup environment.Reside in or near the market location (areas include MA, CT, RI).Own a car and possess a valid driver’s license.Passionate, self-motivated, creative, and responsible.Proactive communicator and excellent problem solver.Comfortable speaking to small groups and recognized as an expert in converting product sampling into sales.Maintain a professional appearance and demeanor at all times.Ability to learn new information quickly, speak informatively, and effectively promote products.Event management or promotional background is a plus.Previous experience in sales and as a Brand Ambassador preferred.Willingness to travel.Availability to work weekdays, weekends, and evenings.
