The investigative arm of the DOD OIG is the Defense Criminal Investigative Service (DCIS) that works closely with law enforcement agencies to conduct criminal investigations of matters critical to DOD property, programs, and operations with an emphasis on life, safety, and readiness. The importance of the DOD OIG oversight work is signified by the enormity of the Department's mission, the numerous assets that DOD utilizes to accomplish its mission, the magnitude of the $600 billion budget, and the over 3 million personnel who are part of the DOD family. The DOD OIG's oversight work balances the needs and requests of both the DOD and Congress. The purpose of this contract effort is intended to acquire various levels of support to assist each of the components accomplish prospective activities. The ISN DoD OIG IT Contract Support Services Web Communications Specialist will oversee analytical assessment for technology involving DOD OIG compliance with Section 508 of the Rehabilitation Act of 1973 (29 U.S.C. 794d). The following tasks serve to provide the contractor with a better understanding of the Objective. The tasks are not all inclusive as this is a performance-based work statement designed to allow the contractor to develop the total solution for meeting the needs of the objective:Assist in developing a comprehensive Section 508 compliance program by ensuring that compliance with Section 508 is consistent with federal, departmental policies, and industry best practices; serve as Section 508 coordinator and subject matter expert on all 508 issues; provide guidance on technical issues involving Section 508 as it relates to the OIG web sites and all electronic media.Review all electronic documents for Section 508 compliance.Assist the publication specialists and other OIG employees with developing Section 508-compliant products.Qualifications +7 years experience in overseeing detailed task areas.Best qualified candidates will have DoD specific experience.Must pass and maintain Active DoD Secret clearance throughout the life of the contract.Additional Information
