Vice President of Marketing
Ortho Development Corporation is motivated to help people do what they love by restoring mobility. Our product focus is total hip and knee replacement, along with trauma fracture repair, and spine treatment.
The
Vice President of Marketing
is a member of the senior leadership team with responsibility to lead the overall marketing strategy and execution at Ortho Development. This executive will develop comprehensive marketing initiatives that are aligned with the corporate strategy, requiring effective collaboration with the executive team and other key stakeholders. A thorough understanding of orthopedic sales and deep collaboration with the sales team is essential for success in this role. The Vice President of Marketing oversees all marketing initiatives and functions, including product management, marketing communications, portfolio management, brand management, and market research.

Your responsibilities: Strategic Leadership
Develop and execute marketing strategies that align with the company’s business objectives and drive growth.
Collaborate with Sales, Product Development, Operations, to ensure alignment of plans and initiatives to increase market penetration and generate sales.
Conduct market research and competitive analyses to guide strategic focus and identify new growth opportunities. Monitor competitive products and marketing activities.
Develop and maintain a deep understanding of the total joint recon market landscape: market trends, customer needs, preferences, and behaviors, enabling technologies, and the competitive landscape.
Develop KPIs to effectively measure and optimize marketing initiatives.
Provide strategic leadership of the Company’s Product Development Committee (PDC), in collaboration with all PDC stakeholders. Responsible for Ortho Development’s PDC proposals and presentation materials.
Sales Enablement
Work closely with sales leadership to support the sales process with content, programs, meeting/event leadership, tools, and other valued resources. Actively gather sales input to inform marketing decisions.
Partner with sales team to define and implement effective targeting strategies and develop growth-oriented “promoter” distributors and surgeons.
Establish and maintain relationships with key opinion-leader clinicians, distributors, and thought leaders in the industry. Oversee the development of content that engages and educates these audiences.
Lead the messaging, strategy and targeting for industry trade shows & Ortho Development’s biennial UHKAS event. Represent the company at industry conferences, trade shows, and networking events.
Product Marketing
Oversee the development and execution of marketing plans that include market analysis, competitive analysis, targeting, value proposition, messaging, promotional planning, trade show strategy, sales tool development, digital and web strategy. Lead consistent and impactful marketing methodologies.
Oversee the development and execution of new product go-to-market plans including positioning, pricing, promotions, medical education, marketing communications, channel readiness, inventory requirements and allocation.
Lead positioning, pricing, and promotion activities for current product portfolio.
Product Management
Manage the marketing development efforts to bring new products from concept through commercialization.
Partner with Sales and Product Development to ensure successful new product launch and commercialization.
Collaborate cross-functionally and lead the development of new product business cases.
Oversee management of product demand, rollout, and training strategies.
Marketing Communications & Brand Management
Develop a clear brand strategy to increase brand awareness within the Orthopedic industry and support new customer acquisition and sales growth.
Establish and maintain brand guidelines to ensure consistency across all marketing channels and in all collateral.
Enhance the company’s online and offline presence, including website, social media, and industry events.
Leverage digital marketing activities such as SEO, SEM, content marketing and social media to build brand awareness. Develop effective KPIs and data analytics capabilities to optimize digital marketing efforts.
Team Leadership
Foster a culture of innovation, collaboration, and results.
Oversee product management, marketing communications, and medical education functions.
Mentor and develop a high-performance marketing team. Provide continuous performance feedback, and conduct all required performance planning, assessment, and review activities.
Develop and manage the marketing budget, ensuring efficient allocation of resources to maximize ROI.
Perform other job-related duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
10+ years marketing leadership experience within the orthopedic industry.
Education: Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business Administration, or a related field; MBA preferred.
Proven track record of developing successful marketing strategies and executing product launches in the highly regulated medical device industry.
Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills; proficient with Microsoft Office suite.
Demonstrated success in leading product management teams.
Strong experience with digital marketing, social media, and content marketing strategies in a healthcare environment.
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with demonstrated ability to resolve complex issues.
Action-oriented, innovative mindset with the capability to respectfully challenge the status quo.
Strong project management leadership capability.
Strong experience with strategy, business planning, budgeting, and forecasting.
