Work in collaboration with design and video team to create content for use in digital, print, and other formats for departments within County. Responsible for research, story development, storyboarding and script writing for a variety of channels. Assists with studio and field productions securing interviews, scouting story, and press event locations. Serves as field producer in set-up and execution of press events. Independently develops concepts and creative direction for client departments.

Minimum Qualifications

Graduation from an accredited college or university with a Bachelor's Degree is required

Two (2) years in television/video production, journalism, television news, public relations, communications or directly related experience is required

An equivalent combination of education and/or experience is required

Valid driver's license

Applicants are required to submit three (3) writing samples at the time of the application. Not submitting three (3) writing samples at the time of the application will disqualify you from the application process.

This position is considered a safety-sensitive position. Candidates who are selected to fill safety-sensitive positions must pass a required drug test as part of the pre-employment background check process.

Degrees awarded outside of the United States with the exception of those awarded in one of the United States territories and Canada, must be credentialed by the World Education Services (WES), Educational Credential Evaluators (ECE) or a National Association of Credential Evaluation (NACES) member organization.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, ABILITIES AND OTHER CHARACTERISTICS

Proficient knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite

Knowledge of moderately complex principles and practices for a specialized area of focus

Ability to operate as a team player and communicate specialized knowledge to team members, managers, and external stakeholders

Physical Requirements:

Sedentary Work involves exerting up to 10 pounds of force occasionally or a negligible amount of force frequently to lift, carry, push, pull, or otherwise move objects. Sedentary work involves sitting most of the time but may involve walking or standing for brief periods of time.
