Description and RequirementsThe IDG (Intelligent Devices Group) global Marketing organization is hiring an Executive Director - Marketing Strategy & Operations, reporting directly to the IDG & ISO CMO.

Lenovo is looking for an experienced leader to manage end-to-end Marketing Strategy & Operations processes to ensure the aligned, integrated, efficient, and effective operation of the IDG Marketing organization. Responsibilities of this role include strategic planning, insights and customer research, financial and governance operations, alliance management, technology and automation, and overall management processes. This position will play an integral role in supporting the One Lenovo initiative and drive the alignment of the PC marketing plan within the broader marketing of all Lenovo product and services portfolios.

The ideal candidate will have extensive strategy, planning, and operations experience with a motivation to achieve results in a fast-paced and matrixed organization. This operations executive will be responsible for overseeing and coordinating daily operational activities, ensuring smooth business operations, managing budgets, analyzing processes for improvement, and implementing strategies to enhance efficiency. This leader will work closely with the executive marketing team to monitor, measure, and analyze the effectiveness, efficiency, and risk of marketing initiatives as they relate to an organization's overall goals.

Key Responsibilities

Oversee the day-to-day IDG Marketing organization processes and resources.

Establish and drive strategic initiatives driven by customer and data insights and designed to ensure alignment and collaboration across marketing functions.

Overall management of the IDG global marketing budget in conjunction with finance and accounting partners.

Alignment of investment priorities with business and marketing strategic initiatives.

Develop and define the governance principles that will enable the global marketing organization to meet the highest standards of financial and business operations.

Define and deliver a management system that will create improved efficiencies and effectiveness across the IDG marketing organization.

Identify operational objectives to measure and track the progress and impact of transformation initiatives.

Identifying and implementing new marketing technologies.

Manage alliance partner relationships and transactional processes to ensure smooth, streamlined, and aligned usage of partner resources.

Apply leadership skills to demonstrate initiative, effect change, and drive progress in this transformational period.

Basic Qualifications:

10+ years expertise and experience with marketing operations including financial management of marketing investments, marketing planning, measurement and performance tracking, and governance operations.

Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.

Preferred Qualifications:

Strong ability to identify, develop, quantify, escalate, and manage corrective action plans as necessary.

Strong ability to ensure that effective controls are in place to monitor program performance.

Strategic thinker, able to see how processes and technology are intertwined.

Strong capability at providing effective performance reporting to monitor the progress of the project.

Strong communication skills with the ability to communicate to all levels of the business.

Well-built organizational skills able to drive commitments and keep timelines.

Ability to multitask within a fast-paced and dynamic workplace.

Detail-oriented creative problem solver.

Demonstrated strong partnership skills with a history of collaborating across organizational boundaries.

Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment managing across multiple shifting priorities.
