Are you the right applicant for this opportunity Find out by reading through the role overview below.As an experienced leader in our Content Studio, the Executive Director, Content is primarily responsible for providing content strategy, writing, and editing support across a variety of tactics and channels, such as digital and traditional campaigns, email, web, print, OOH, social, and more.
When any client from any industry throws a marketing challenge your way, you can confidently lead the charge from a content strategy and copywriting standpoint. You expertly listen to client’s needs, pinpoint gaps and opportunities, ask critical questions to gather key information, and then plan your approach accordingly.
The Executive Director is a strategic, marketing-minded thinker who uses audience insights, competitive data, and other research to develop creative solutions for clients across industries.
ResponsibilitiesHere are some, but not necessarily all, of the Executive Director, Content’s responsibilities:
Act as an empathetic supervisor for other team members within our Content Studio, and mentor them as they grow in their careers.
Lead content strategy development for clients across industries.
Produce high-quality, audience-focused, creative content that is on brand and reflects an accurate, intelligent picture of clients and their industries.
Contribute to new business development by working on proposals and pitching to clients.
Build and maintain strong, collaborative relationships with copywriters, designers, creative directors, strategists, project managers, and other client and internal team members.
Maintain a detail-oriented eye during the review process to raise the bar for client work, and support your direct reports and other team members as they improve their craft.
Present creative and strategic work internally and to clients clearly, articulately, and with rationale for how decisions support the client’s goals.
Aim to hit your utilization goal as related to our Inspired Impact Plan (IIP), and support your direct reports in reaching their utilization goals.
Play a leading role in developing or enhancing Content Studio’s processes as well as cross-functional processes that may impact other Studios.
What you’ll need
8+ years of content strategy, writing, and/or editing experience in a marketing, communications, PR, or related role. Agency experience is a plus.
5+ years in a leadership role
A solid command of all aspects of writing (structure, spelling, grammar, etc.), especially the ability to adapt your writing style according to a client's brand/messaging guidelines
