The Market Development (MD) function within School & Industry Engagement is a key part of the school and candidate facing arm of GMAC and plays a critical role in delivering against the organization’s revenue and non-revenue objectives.
The Manager, Field Marketing, Americas supports the Market Development (MD) team in driving awareness, engagement, and preference with candidates, business schools, test prep companies and other strategic stakeholders in management education within the Americas region, which encompasses the United States, Canada, and Latin America. The role works closely with colleagues/departments across the organization (i.e., MD, Global Marketing, Assessments, Legal, and Technology) in the development and implementation of GMAC’s market development, marketing, and communications efforts worldwide.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead and execute owned virtual, field marketing strategy and activities, which includes developing and executing against a candidate outreach events calendar. Activities consist of, but not limited to, exhibiting and presenting at tours and other education fairs/events in-person or virtually through webinars or livestreaming in order to move candidates further down the pipeline.
Create and execute initiatives to address pipeline diversity needs, grow quality leads and GradSelect opt-ins, support prep product revenue and GMAC Tours registration/attendance goals, and increase the pipeline of unique test takers.
Develop and sustain relationships with Test Prep Organizations (TPOs) across the Americas region including Canada and Latin America to build preference for GMAC assessment products. Partner to deliver virtual and in-person presentations to prospective candidates in their pipeline. Provide end-to-end management and execution of GMAC Test Prep Summits. Support the organizational revenue goals through promoting prep and other product purchases from TPOs.
Create, update and maintain a comprehensive database of key test prep companies and admission consultants in Americas to enable smooth and speedy business development efforts.
Identify, develop and sustain relationships and partnerships with other relevant organizations that support the goals of GMAC and the region. This includes associates such as admissions consultants, as well as consortiums, charities and publishers.
Collaborate with key schools in their efforts to help students considering GME study through school info session, events, or webinars.
Manage print, incentives, production of gifts, and collateral for all key stakeholders. Work with the video production agency and manage candidate testimonial videos and the coordination of production logistics.
Lead management, reporting and uploading of all data collected from field on HubSpot, working closely with the Senior Manager, Marketing and Product Marketing on the appropriate nurture of these leads.
Develop and maintain field marketing monitoring and tracking solution in order to evaluate the field marketing efficiency and effectiveness for always-on marketing optimization.
Manage and monitor external field marketing agencies and vendors.
Track market issues, themes, and trends of interest and relevance to business schools, candidates, test prep organizations and other key stakeholders to ensure there is regular flow of information to colleagues based in the other regions.
Gather market insights from candidates, partners, organizations, and influencers to inform the organization and support the development of content strategy and marketing campaigns.
Attend relevant meetings (in-person and virtual) as required. Contribute as a member of the broad MD team to help enhance and promote all aspects of the work in the region. This includes achievement towards all regional objectives, communication of regional marketing initiatives, organization of professional development events in the region, and any other duties assigned by the Senior Manager, Marketing, Americas.

Minimum Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in related field; Or equivalent combination of education, skills, and experience.
3-5 years’ experience in marketing, sales, or channel management.
Strong project management skills and understanding how to manage the priorities of multiple stakeholders in a complex environment.
Self-starter and capable of working independently without the support of a large team.
Experience in market analysis, competitor monitoring, and project management.
Excellent communications skills (i.e., writing, editing, proofing and grammar) with the ability to confidently present to large audiences.
Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook).
Exceptional organizational, project planning, and time management skills.
Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and in a team setting, and across external and internal stakeholder groups.
Authority to prioritize work to resolve operational or departmental issues.
Strong analytical skills.
Comfort with multi-tasking.
Able to travel at least 12-14 days in the month during peak tour season (three months out of the year); Able to travel internationally 10% of the time.
Ability to work in-office and remotely according to GMAC’s hybrid work environment.

Desired Skills/Experience:
Master’s degree, ideally in Marketing or Sales.
Prior experience in below the line marketing activities/field marketing or managing campus activation.
Professional experience in graduate management or higher education industry.
Experience in planning and executing digital/social media campaigns, experience with funnel dynamics and data analysis.
