is growing, and we’d love to have you join our team! We are currently seeking a Civil Project Designer/Engineer in our Pasadena, Anaheim, Ontario or Las Vegas, NV office. As a Civil Project Designer/Engineer, you will be responsible for assisting Project Managers with detailed engineering analysis in the preparation of engineering reports, permit applications, and construction plan preparation. You will direct and train Civil Design Technicians and/or Civil Designers. You will independently evaluate, plan, and conduct work requiring judgment in the evaluation, selection, and substantial adaptation/modification of standard techniques, procedures, and criteria. You may devise new alternatives/approaches to problems encountered, and will be able to perform difficult and technically challenging work with a specialty area. Some key duties and responsibilities include: Drafting procedures and system requirements of clients. Utilizing various design software. Coordinating with municipal, transportation, traffic, and other disciplines. Completing permit applications for a variety of municipalities. Flexible pavement design and rigid pavement design. Geometric pavement and site circulation design. Preparation of specifications & cost estimates. Traffic warrants and guardrail warrants. Understanding of materials and methods. Interpreting state and local design criteria and applying it to specific project needs. Directing and training Civil Designers to assist in completing reports, exhibits, plans, specifications, and permit applications. Producing high-quality construction documents. Key skills and abilities needed for the position are: Knowledge of design techniques, tools, and principles involved in the production of precision technical plans and drawings. Knowledge of materials, methods, and tools involved in construction. Skill in the use of Microsoft Office programs and AutoCAD Civil 3D software. Ability to clearly communicate in both oral and written communication to individuals or groups. Education and experience requirements are: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Civil Engineering. Professional Engineer license preferred. 3-4 years of experience with an engineering firm required. This position is not eligible for sponsorship. Salary Range: $80,000 - $127,000.
Minimums and maximums may vary based on location. Individual pay will be based on several factors including experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities of the applicant. Other rewards may include annual bonuses and stock ownership options.
