Director, Paid Search
About the Role:Our client is hiring a senior Director of Paid Search to lead paid search strategy and campaign development across industries like Healthcare, Financial Services, Higher Education, and Utilities. This fast-paced role requires a proactive, data-driven leader dedicated to high performance.
Overview:As Director, you will establish a best-in-class paid search framework, grounded in proven practices, to drive marketing and business objectives. You’ll work closely with clients to understand their needs and provide strategic solutions, while also mentoring the paid search team and collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure success.
Key Responsibilities:Strategy & Execution
Lead and execute paid search strategies across platforms (e.g., Google Ads, Microsoft Ads) in collaboration with cross-functional teams. Ensure integration within broader marketing efforts, leveraging industry trends and best practices.
Campaign Management
Oversee all campaign elements (keyword research, ad copy, bidding, targeting) to maximize ROI and reduce CPA. Drive continuous optimization through data analysis, A/B testing, and new tactics.
Client Relations
Serve as the main client contact for paid search strategy and performance updates, aligning campaign goals with client objectives.
Team Leadership
Mentor and develop the paid search team, promoting best practices and a collaborative culture.
Budgeting & Forecasting
Manage and forecast campaign budgets, ensuring efficient resource allocation and performance tracking.
Key Competencies:8-10+ years of experience in paid search and strategy, including hands-on experience in Google Ads, Microsoft Ads, Google Analytics, and third-party management platforms (e.g., Kenshoo, Marin).Experience in performance campaigns in industries like Healthcare, Financial Services, Higher Education, is a plus.Proficiency in running various media tactics within these platforms, such as SEM, GDN, Retargeting, Audience Targeting, and Video.Strong analytical skills and experience in data-driven campaign optimization.Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to translate complex data into clear, actionable insights.Strong understanding of how paid search integrates with other digital marketing channels.Experience managing six-figure monthly budgets is preferred but not mandatory.High level of integrity, autonomy, and self-motivation.Ability to mentor and develop junior team members.
