The Installation Technician is responsible for installing & servicing audiovisual systems. This role is essential for ensuring all infrastructure is installed according to the plans and Project Manager's instructions.
Responsibilities:
Understand the overall expectations and timeline of the projectAble to understand various architectural and schematic drawingsPull wire for projectsTerminate wire to plates, panels, and racksLace, terminate, and label rack wiring in equipment racksMount a variety of audiovisual equipment including but not limited to displays, screens, projectors, speakers, cameras, lighting, racks, etc.Able to troubleshoot and verify system functionalityReport daily to the Project Manager with project milestonesMaintain clean working areas on siteKeep up company tool and equipment maintenance including controlling and safekeeping all tools in the shop and on the job siteMaintain the shop's upkeep and cleanlinessOther duties as assigned
Requirements:
Minimum 2 years of working in commercial audiovisual installation fieldBe familiar with audio, video, lighting, and control systemsKnowledge of low-voltage electrical conceptsAble to read and understand drawings such as architectural plans, electrical drawings, and low-voltage schematicsBasic construction knowledgeStrong verbal and written communication skillsHigh school diploma or equivalentMust be able to lift up to 50lbsWork at heights on ladders, lifts, and attic spacesPhysical stamina to work in difficult positions and areasAble to travel for installations across USA and abroadPossess a current driver’s license
