We are looking for an extraordinary Director of Internal Communications. This is a role for an experienced strategist and communicator, a collaborative problem solver who is passionate about telling impactful stories that create, connect and build culture across the company, and who has a track record of effectively leading and inspiring teams.DescriptionIn this role, you will work closely with internal partners, cross-functional teams and support groups to drive internal communications at Apple globally. In partnership with the Corporate Communications, People, Retail Engagement Marketing, and Leadership teams, you will play a key role in developing and executing strategy on direct engagement with Apple employees on a range of priorities - from Total Rewards to oversight of key internal platforms and channels. This is an opportunity to lead a team of internal communicators across editorial, corporate and Total Rewards portfolios. To be successful, you must be able to lead a team in a fast-paced environment, build and maintain strong cross-functional relationships, and have a track record of aligning priorities, managing multiple work streams, and fostering collaboration across global teams. You are comfortable leveraging data and analytics to measure internal communications effectiveness, and using those insights to continuously improve and optimize engagement and communications strategies.Minimum Qualifications15+ years in internal and external communications with global brands within a multi-channel environment.10+ years building, developing, and leading high-performing teams.Preferred QualificationsStrong leadership and management experience across multiple operational and creative functions within a global organization.Proven track record of handling complex/multi-faceted projects, delivering on key metrics to drive impact for the company.Comfortable with ambiguity and pivoting in an ever-changing environment.Excellent interpersonal skills, able to strike the right balance in all situations, from cross-functional working groups to executive presentations, as well as build and maintain positive working relationships with people in different disciplines and at different levels.Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, ability to multitask in a fast-paced, and time-critical environment.Comfortable with high volumes of information and quickly breaking down what action needs to be taken. Exceptional project leadership skills delivering high-quality results on tight deadlines.Direct experience dealing with sensitive and confidential information with integrity.Excellent communication and written skills.Proven leadership experience, managing and developing diverse teams. An encouraging people leader who is able to recruit, empower and develop outstanding talent.Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.Pay & BenefitsAt Apple, base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. This provides the opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role. The base pay range for this role is between $255,400 and $408,200, and your base pay will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location. Apple employees also have the opportunity to become an Apple shareholder through participation in Apple’s discretionary employee stock programs. Apple employees are eligible for discretionary restricted stock unit awards, and can purchase Apple stock at a discount if voluntarily participating in Apple’s Employee Stock Purchase Plan. You’ll also receive benefits including: Comprehensive medical and dental coverage, retirement benefits, a range of discounted products and free services, and for formal education related to advancing your career at Apple, reimbursement for certain educational expenses - including tuition.
