Job DescriptionESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
In this position, you will drive the development of the next-generation solid-state drive products.
You will be responsible for delivering subsystem specifications and test specs.
Your primary role will be to determine the most optimal solution considering technical, cost, and schedule tradeoffs.
This role requires close collaboration with ASIC, HW, Firmware, and Validation teams to navigate technical challenges and identify the most beneficial solutions.
Understand customer specifications and drive design changes to meet them.
Deliver product design specification documents and test objectives.
Align the development and validation process with cross-functional teams.
Represent the team in the product development forum.
Create internal and external specifications, stay current with technology trends and roadmaps.
Mentor engineers inside and outside the team.
Learn constantly, dive into new areas with unfamiliar technologies, and embrace the ambiguity of problem-solving.
Apply critical thinking to the results/data of competitive analysis and provide guidance for product development.
Partner with cross-functional teams, including ASIC, Firmware, and Validation, to ensure seamless product development.
Foster innovation and contribute to the development of SSD products that will achieve widespread market presence.
Proven track record.
Qualifications
REQUIRED:
B.Sc. in Computer Science or Software / Computer / Electrical Engineering.
At least 5 years of experience in RT / embedded systems architecture.
Multi-disciplinary experience, including familiarity with Firmware, HW, and ASIC design.
Experience with scripting automation using Python.
Proven ability to work as part of a global team in multiple geographies.
PREFERRED:
Knowledge of PCIe Gen4/5 technology is an advantage.
Previous experience with storage systems, protocols, and NAND flash – strong advantage.
Previous patent filing – advantage.
SKILLS:
Excellent interpersonal skills and team leader.
Strong can-do attitude.
