with a successful track record of managing all phases of interior architecture projects and leading multiple complex projects at the same time.
Is this your next job Read the full description below to find out, and do not hesitate to make an application.Your RoleA Design Manager at Gensler works with autonomy to be responsible for execution of a variety of project types and sizes and will lead all phases of projects. They will be involved in all phases of the project delivery and must have a working knowledge of this process with the ability to deliver the successful completion of a project. A Design Manager will work/interact with and mentor junior staff to encourage a high level of design and ensure client satisfaction through being the main point of contact for the client in all work produced.
What You Will DoAct as lead design manager for a variety of project typesDrive the project delivery during all phases of the projectDevelop and maintain project schedules, budgets, and work plansLead the relationships with the client, contractor, agencies, as well as engineering and specialty consultantsPrepare and review proposals, contracts, and consultant agreementsReview internal project accounting documents and process draft project billingParticipate in firm marketing, proposal writing, and project interviewsManage mid-size to large project teams, assign and monitor completion of tasksMentor junior staffParticipate in the coordination and document preparation for projects and provide quality assurance via review of project documentationOther related duties as assigned
Your Qualifications10+
years of Design Management experience in an Architecture firm, working on corporate interiors architecture project typesBachelor's Degree or higher in ArchitectureSustainable design experience, with a preference for hands-on LEED project participationAccredited Professional certification (Architectural License or Interior Design Certification)Experience with: LEED, FITWEL, WELL, LIVING BUILDING (LFA), PASSIVE HOUSE (CPHC), or other relevant programsKnowledge and experience in all phases of architectural projectsAbility to provide excellent client service and assure project profitabilityDesire to mentor junior staffHigh level of design competenceKnowledge of state and local building codes including accessibilityComputer savvy with moderate or better skills in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook and Project)Revit, AutoCAD and InDesign skills
*The base salary will be estimated between $103,500 - $126,500 plus bonuses and benefits and contingent on relevant experience
