The position is responsible for developing, maintaining and implementing the College's visual identity standards and brand through graphic design pieces (including ads, billboards and printed materials) using various software programs (including Illustrator, InDesign and PhotoShop). The person hired will work collaboratively with colleagues through the graphic design revision and approval process to produce pieces that accurately reflect the diversity represented at the College.All applicants are required to submit the following materials:1. Resume2. Two graphic design samples (The samples must have been designed within the last 12 months, and they must be dated. If you do not have any within that time period, we suggest you design them.)3. College Transcripts (if applicable)Incomplete application materials and those that do not follow these directions will not be considered.Interview ProcessThe interview process for this position will consist of three phases. Applicants who complete the application process and meet the position minimum requirements will be invited to interview in phase 1. Candidates will be notified of their status after each phase to confirm if they are moving forward in the selection process.Phase 1: 30-minute interview with the search committee
Phase 2: 30-minute interview with the search committee (different questions will be asked), 30-minute written exercise; 30-minute presentation with the Office of College Advancement team
Phase 3: 30-minute interview with the vice president of college advancement
Minimum Qualifications:Associate degree and 5 years experience or a combination of experience and education sufficient to successfully perform the essential duties of the job.Licensing Requirements:

Job Specific Task List:Develop and design engaging graphic design pieces, including but not limited to ads, billboards, templates and printed materials using various software programs, including Illustrator, InDesign, PhotoShop, PowerPoint and Microsoft Office Suite. Ensure each design is packaged and submitted according to established deadlines. (Essential)Maintain, follow and enhance the College's visual identity and brand standards to ensure consistency in HACC's voice and representation. (Essential)Collaborate with colleagues across the College to brainstorm, conceptualize, execute and finalize design projects Essential - (Essential)Work with an online project management system to manage work and handle projects accurately, efficiently and effectively. (Essential)Manage and respond to collegewide logo requests as they are received. (Essential)Develop print specification forms and manage print-project processes with vendors. (Essential)Stay updated on and implement design trends and tools to enhance the College's visual identity representation. (Essential)Have strong attention to detail while managing multiple projects and meeting deadlines. (Essential)Handle the College's name badge, envelope, letterhead and business card processes. 20Work ArrangementThe graphic designer will have a hybrid work arrangement. They will:Work from home approximately 90% of the time
Work from any of HACC's five campuses approximately 10% of the time
