Who You Are
TAG-Ed is seeking a motivated and successful grant writer. The grant writer will be responsible for locating, researching, and applying for potential funding opportunities in order to ensure successful budget operation. The ideal candidate should have previous experience and proven success in the grant writing field. This employee will be required to provide high-quality grant proposals, contact sponsors, companies, and organizations (private and government) that offer grants, and submit grants to these locations. The position reports to the TAG-Ed Executive Director.
What You'll Do
Research, identify, and match grant opportunities to meet specific organizational objectivesInterpret and follow grant application guidelines and requirements meticulouslyCollaborate with various departments and partners to gather necessary information for grant proposalsDraft compelling and persuasive grant proposals, detailing the needs, objectives, budget, and anticipated outcomesSubmit timely and complete grant applications, ensuring adherence to specified guidelinesMaintain an organize database of all grant submissions, including dates, outcomes, and feedbackManage the reporting process for all awarded grants, ensuring compliance with grant terms and conditionsBuild and nurture relationships with foundation and corporate donorsKept current with organizational goals and objectives to effectively align grant-seeking effortsConduct post-submission follow-ups with grantors as necessaryWhat You Bring
Required skills and qualifications
Excellent written and verbal communicationDetail-oriented natureStrong organizational and time management capabilitiesAbility to work independently and collaborativelyPersuasive and engaging interpersonal skillsKnowledge of current trends in donatingProficiency in Microsoft Office Suite toolsPreferred qualifications
Five years experience grant writingBachelor's degreeGrant writing certificate
