Steadicam Operator Job at Broadcast Management Group in Chicago

Broadcast Management Group (BMG) is a leading global broadcast production company that provides managed services to major broadcast networks, corporations, and studios. It is also a top producer of live multicamera news, sports, entertainment, and corporate broadcast productions. BMG operates in New York, Los Angeles, Washington D.C., Chicago, and Las Vegas.

Broadcast Management Group is looking for an experienced Steadicam / Min Jib role for daily studio shows for the Schwab Network, which Broadcast Management Group (BMG) operates based in Chicago. This position will report to BMG’s Director for instruction and guidance on the daily tasks required. The primary functions of this position include operating a Steadicam and a min jib for daily live programming and taped programs and promos. Additionally, this position will be trained to run the Teleprompter System, robotic camera, A2, and Stage Management and will perform these positions regularly.

Responsibilities:

• Operate Steadicam
• Operate Jib
• Run Teleprompter
• Stage Manager / turning on and off Monitors daily
• Run Robotic Camera - when not Doing Steadicam or Jib, you may be asked to help set cameras
• Run Video Playback
• Assist with bringing guests in and out of the studio
• Assist with remote shoots
• Mic talent in the studio and on remotes
• Assist with lighting
• Assist the A1 serving as a A2

Requirements:

• 2+ years of operating a Steadicam
• 2+ years of operating a min-jib
• Self-motivated and highly organized
• Able to work independently within a dynamic, complex, collaborative environment
• Candidates must have existing relationships with contacts in the industry
• Excellent interpersonal and verbal communication skills
