Learn Fresh is a transformative nonprofit that empowers educators with innovative STEM and social-emotional learning experiences built around sports and entertainment. Learn Fresh programs focus on achieving equitable representation across the STEM pipeline for girls, students of color, and those living in low-income communities. Students who engage in Learn Fresh programs discover a new way of learning that is fun, highly engaging, and results in academic and social-emotional growth. To date, our programming has engaged over 1,000,000 students across the US and beyond. Learn Fresh programs include NBA Math Hoops, MLB Players STEM League, MLS STEM Goals, and Eco Tour.
About the Role
As a Graphic Design Intern, you work in tandem with our Chief Development Officer and Director of Marketing to create the visual content for multiple platforms including social media, email blasts, video content, digital and print materials, and more. This internship provides an opportunity to develop your portfolio while contributing to meaningful projects that impact our mission. This internship offers the potential for a full-time role upon successful completion and demonstrated fit.
ResponsibilitiesDesign visual content for channels including social media posts (Instagram, YouTube, Facebook, TikTok, etc.), email newsletters, videos, presentation decks, one-pagers/PDFs, event signage, and other print materials.Collaborate with the Marketing team to come up with ideas that align with our branding and messaging including fundraising and awareness campaigns as well as outreach efforts.Propose innovative visual concepts for our social media channels, fundraising campaigns, and community outreach efforts to enhance brand engagement.Support the production of digital and print materials, ensuring high-quality standards and adhering to deadlines.Research trends and best practices to enhance visual communications.Organize and manage design files, assets, and templates for easy access by the team.Meet weekly with Director of Marketing to review projects and present concepts.Skills Required
Currently pursuing a degree in graphic design, visual arts or a related field.Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite, Canva, and video editing tools (ex: Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro, After Effects).Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a remote environment.Attention to detail and strong communication skills.Portfolio showcasing a range of projects, including social media graphics and video content, if available.

Compensation: $1,750 stipend
