LEAD SCRIPT EDITOR
to join our team and help produce and deliver scripting materials for a variety of dubbing projects.As a department lead, you will be responsible for taking on a share of daily tasks, as well as allocating time to ensure the department’s workload is evenly distributed across script editors throughout the day. This means closely coordinating with the dubbing production team to adjust schedules and move tasks based on deadlines and capacity.You will work with the dubbing adaptation supervisor to create and update SOPs as needed and collaborate with other departments to find new ways to evolve existing workflows.Our ideal candidate is self-sufficient, quick to learn, and brings with them prior localization experience, strong organizational skills and the ability to lead and train others.This is a full-time position.Key ResponsibilitiesØ Supervising and working with other script editors to ensure deadlines are met while maintaining quality of output.Ø Evaluating capacity and ensuring tasks are distributed effectively across the department.Ø Liaising between the scripting and dubbing production teams.o
Working with producers to keep track of due dates and rescheduling tasks as needed.Ø Creating and updating script-related SOPs.Ø Developing a thorough knowledge of all scripting tasks and performing them on a daily basis.o
Tasks such as…§ Reviewing incoming translations and adaptations to ensure they meet our technical standards.§ Conforming dubbing scripts to match updated media.§ Creating trailer scripts.§ Creating as-recorded scripts.§ Tackling general technical scripting issues that arise during the various stages of dubbing.Skills and ExperienceØ Native fluency in English. Knowledge of other languages is a plus.Ø An understanding of post-production—especially regarding localization—and project management.Ø The ability to lead and train others.Ø Excellent time management and communication skills.Ø Strong computer literacy (Windows & MacOS).Ø Familiarity with timeline-based video/sound/text editing software (e.g. Adobe Premiere, Avid Media Composer, Pro Tools, Mosaic, VoiceQ, EZ Titles…).Ø Knowledge of various dub scripting tools.Ø The ability to constructively process feedback and work efficiently to meet deadlines.Ø Prior supervisory experience highly desired.
Salary Range:
$26-$32/hour
