Job SummaryAn assistant who will work side by side with our in-house designer to create unique pieces for Windsor that embodies our brand/core customer. Someone with a passion for fashion and trend forecasting based on social influence & seasonality.Essential Job Functions & Responsibilities:Filling out and completing tech sheets with rough specsSending tech sheets and/or tear sheets to vendors, assigning style numbers, and following up on PD’sSupporting Designer with organizing Sketches, fabrics, trims and PD’s.Pulling best sellers and working with Designer to update styles to maximize salesSupervising creations when Designer is out - including fitting, detailing, & adaptationSpecking out styles as neededassisting in Fitting all assigned department styles including other departments as neededUnderstanding designs from a technical perspective, i.e. producing patterns and technical specificationsKeeping up to date with emerging fashion trends as well as general trends relating to fabrics, color and shapesWorking closely with designer to develop & execute product from start to finish.Organize & collaborate on weekly tear sheets & executionAttend Friday product on order meetingsAssisting Designer with vendor appointments, sourcing fabrics and trims to fall into the trend direction given.Collaborating with the Fashion Team in creating Mood/Trend Boards as needed.Key Qualifications & Requirements:+2 years experience required.Excellent communication skills to build vendor relationshipsEmbodies our core Windsor values & mission statement. Willing to support the fashion & buying team with day-to-day tasks.Knowledge of fabrications, silhouettes, colorways, construction techniques, and trim.Proficient in the Adobe creative suite (illustrator and photoshop).Physical/Environmental Demands and Overtime & Availability:Work is performed in an office environment and requires the ability to operate standard office equipment and keyboards. Must have the ability to walk short distances. Sedentary work. Exerting up to 10 pounds of force occasionally and/or a small amount of force frequently or constantly to lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects. Repetitive motion. Adequate movements (motions) of the wrists, hands, and/or fingers.
