Main purpose of the position:Senior knitwear designer for contemporary brands: Helsa, GRLFRND, LPA, Song of Style, L’Academie, House of Harlow.
Position responsibilities and daily tasks:Ownership over brands from development to productionLeading meetings and working one on one with directors and outside influencersSending out seasonal stitch development based on direction/brand conceptSketchingTech-packingLeading fittings, updating tech pack construction and BOMsCommenting on 1 st protosWorking cross functionally with product development on costing optionsWorking in our product console – naming styles etc.Communicating with our vendors on yarn development/R&DMeeting with yarn mills and stitch vendorsShopping the market for inspiration
What does a candidate need to demonstrate to perform this job successfully:Strong technical knitwear background. Must have understanding of yarns, stitches, and fully fashioned constructionMust understand relationship of yarn and stitch and be able to execute successful stitch developmentMust be able to map/plan out yarn groups/concepts for the season in line with direction given.Strong understanding of stitches/yarns in relationship to costing.Strong sketching abilityStrong communication skills as this person will be working cross functionally and with many outside influencersStrong sense of urgency and able to prioritize deadlines accordinglyMust be organized and able to juggle multiple deadlines and calendarsMust be a team player as we maneuver many moving partsMust feel confident in leading fittings and meetingsMust feel confident working one on one with directors and outside influencers/celebrities
Minimum candidate qualifications (years of experience, education level, technical skills, software, etc):8+ years of experience in fully fashioned knitwear
Preferred qualifications (years of experience, education level, technical skills, software, etc):Fully fashioned knitwear work experience (knitwear degree preferred as well)Procreate is a plusExcelAdobe photoshop/illustratorGoogle suite

For individuals assigned and/or hired to work in California, Revolve includes a reasonable estimate of the salary or hourly rate range for this role. This takes into account the wide range of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions; including but not limited to business or organizational needs, skill sets, experience and training, licensure, and certifications.
A reasonable estimate of the current salary rate is $85,000 to $88,000 per year.
