Staff Scientist - Firmware Design

BridgeSource Medical, Austin, Texas, United States,

BridgeSource Medical Corp is a Medical Device Research and Development group that takes mid- to late- stage research and solves the engineering challenges to commercialize new Medical Devices. We specialize in Small Business Innovation in Research Proposals. We spend 3 months of each year writing these proposals, and the remaining time is spent solving the technological, regulatory, and experimental challenges that will help to change clinical practice in all areas of Medicine. As Principal Investigators, each of us is a Scientist who is capable of writing, winning, executing, and licensing the output of our research to a traditional medical device company. We all feel capable of doing this completely alone, but our deepest strengths complement each other. As a team, we invest heavily in ourselves in terms of mentorship, education, and compensation and we have an insatiable thirst for knowledge. There are 4 full time employees at BSM, all with non-overlapping PhDs, and you would be the 5th. We will max out at 7. Innovators are rewarded for innovation here, not salespeople. The Staff Scientist will be part of an innovative group that researches and designs new medical device products. The successful candidate will have an embedded electronics and software background with a focus on new product development. We seek a resourceful and collaborative individual ready for a new challenge in the biomedical field. This is an exciting opportunity to work with cutting-edge technologies and move ideas from concept to product.
