What You Will Do:

Luckett & Farley is seeking an inspiring Landscape Designer, Architect, or Urban Planner to help our clients shape and build the natural and social environments in the communities we serve. As a designer in our multi-disciplinary firm, you will participate in a wide variety of project types, requiring versatility and collaboration.Conduct research on planning and landscape architectural projects.Develop and participate in community outreach, stakeholder visioning sessions, and workshops for data gathering or project communications.Prepare plans, renderings, diagrams, exhibits, character boards, etc., for master planning or site developments.Use 3D modeling (SketchUp) to provide accurate modeling of outdoor spaces.Work with vendors to provide options for material selections, outdoor furnishings, structures, plantings, or equipment.Develop and prepare documentation for master plans, site studies, or landscape design packages.Create construction documentation for site plans.Develop development plans for agency approvals.Conduct aspects of the design scope on multiple projects, ensuring on-time and under-budget completion.Actively participate and pursue continuing education, including CEUs, Lunch & Learns, trade organizations, and independent study.Successfully collaborate with owners, user groups, vendors, suppliers, code authorities, and co-workers, including other engineering departments, architects, project managers, and administrative staff, to provide high-quality, well-coordinated, and technically proficient design solutions.Actively participate in project meetings during design activities, including possible travel for out-of-town project locations.Work successfully in a multi-disciplined team environment on multiple projects, sometimes with competing deadlines or milestone requirements.Operate in a cross-functional capacity as workflow demands change, supporting other production requirements as part of a project team.Actively support the strategic goals of the firm, departments, and managers, and understand how your actions contribute to them.

Key Success Factors:Proficiency in Civil 3D and/or AutoCAD, with REVIT capabilities and knowledge being a plus.Proficiency in Adobe programs (Photoshop, InDesign, and Illustrator) to create renderings, display boards, booklets, and master planning documents.Ability to create rudimentary models in SketchUp.Exhibits "self-starter" characteristics and is highly communicative.Demonstrates a high sense of personal motivation and urgency.A willingness to perform activities not specified here, that may become necessary as the company, position, or marketplace evolves.Knowledge of contemporary trends in landscape planning, principles and practices of landscape architecture, construction techniques, irrigation systems, civil engineering, as well as basic architectural and structural engineering principles and methods, with the ability to integrate them into an aesthetically coordinated and finished product.

Qualifications:2 to 5 years of professional experience preferred.Bachelor's degree in Landscape Architecture and/or Urban Planning.Licensure in Landscape Architecture or Planning is a plus.
