Creative Content Strategist The Luckman Fine Arts Complex at Cal State LA Salary Range: $30.00-$35.00/hourly This is on-call, non-exempt position; hours to be determined. This position is not eligible for benefits. This is a temporary appointment and contingent upon the availability of funds. Position Overview: The Creative Content Strategist is a key contributor to the production and publishing of marketing materials and digital content. This role is integral to crafting visually compelling, accurate, and rights-cleared content that supports the organization's promotional efforts and archival needs. The ideal candidate will possess strong visual art skills, including analog illustration and digital pen/brush work, paired with excellent English language proficiency. Responsibilities include creating and refining proof of concepts, fact-checking, proofreading, developing and updating web content, producing social media content, and ensuring the accuracy and consistency of all CTA materials. The incumbent will collaborate closely with the marketing and communications teams to ensure that all content aligns with brand standards and effectively engages the target audience. Essential Functions: The Creative Content Strategist's essential functions include: producing and publishing marketing materials and digital content; assisting in advertising and marketing content fulfillment; ensuring that requests are accurate, well thought out, and executed in a timely manner; creating and refining proof of concepts in both illustrative and written forms; creating and monitoring social media ads, and reviewing and analyzing their performance against daily sales reports; developing and updating website content as needed; conducting regular spelling, fact, and grammar checks on websites and outgoing content; creating and proofing marketing materials, including signs, posters, brochures, newsletters, news releases, and public service announcements; coordinating the scaling of brand and company awareness through various social media channels; working with the brand team to create and implement monthly social media strategies; ensuring brand consistency in copy through tone, voice, and terminology; harmonizing style guide directives across print, digital, and filmed content; regularly monitoring and interacting on social media to ensure a positive customer service experience; creating actionable plans to grow and maintain followers on platforms such as Twitter, Facebook, and Instagram; ensuring progress on platforms by using analytical tools like Google Analytics; creating boilerplate text for automated inquiry systems on social media platforms; interacting with patron messages on all social media platforms and reacting to patron interactions with posts, boosts, ads, stories, reels, etc.; directing patron inquiries to the appropriate team member for resolution; creating event-related texts in a clear, consistent, and engaging institutional voice, uniquely curated for web, social media, and organizational content needs; assuring the accuracy and quality of all literature and promotional materials; and safeguarding brand integrity across all platforms. Experience & Skill Requirements: The ideal candidate must have at least 3 years of experience in customer service with excellent interpersonal and communication skills, and a minimum of 3 years in creative or artistic content creation. A superior command of the English language, both written and verbal, is essential. The candidate should possess advanced skills in analog illustration, including hand-drawing techniques, and digital editing, with proficiency in industry-standard software including Adobe Creative Suite. Strong attention to detail, the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously, and a deep understanding of visual storytelling and Docusign Envelope ID: F94DBD84-1741-482D-A8BA-EE90018A55D4 branding are also required. Experience in content production for various platforms, including web, social media, and print, is highly desirable. The candidate should be proactive, adaptable, and able to collaborate effectively within a team environment.
