We invite you to consider joining us as we consistently work to go above and beyond, and WOW those we serve!As an Intern, Design Coordinator your responsibility is to model and analyze new and existing 3-dimensional models to provide TBG's customers with point-of-sale fixtures that exceed customer expectations while working with the Principal Designers. This role requires working knowledge and experience with 2-dimensional drawings and 3-dimensional modeling software. The Design Coordinator will work together with Designers, Product Development, Engineers, and Sales teams, as well as other departments required to design and craft customer fixtures. This position is aware of critical paths to ensure customers' timelines are consistently met.Shift available: Monday through Friday 8:00 am - 5:00 pm (hybrid work environment between office and remote working locations)Compensation: $20.00 HourlyA variety of these traits will help land you this job if you:are working towards a Bachelor's degree in Industrial Design or similar disciplinehave at least 1 year of experience in Industrial Engineering or similar disciplinehave more than 1 year of 3D software experience using 3ds Max, Cinema 4D, SolidWorks or SketchUp on a PC platformdemonstrate a Interest in, and a willingness to learn the fundamentals and intricacies of retail designhold experience and knowledge of production processes and working within a team of cross-functional professionalsshowcase a strong portfolio demonstrating an elevated sense of spatial visualization, sketching ability, design aesthetics, 3D and 2D layout requiredOn top of that you must: be proficient in 3D programs such as 3ds Max, Cinema 4d, Solidworks or SketchUpbe proficient in 2D layout and design programs from the Adobe Creative Cloud including (but not limited to) Photoshop and Illustratorhave comprehension of fixture construction and shop drawingshave basic understanding of fixture manufacturinghave basic understanding of construction methods for materials like wood, acrylic, metal, plastics, and paperIn this position, you will: assist in concepting and design of retail fixturing & displays through sketching and/or 2D/3D modeling software such as 3ds Max, Cinema 4d, Solidworks or SketchUp as requiredresearch and recommend new trends and materials to stay current with design for retail including; display windows, semi-permanent and permanent displays & fixturing, and visual merchandisingmaintain a diligent, self-directed approach to workload while providing accurate and timely communication to coworkers and managementsupport the Design team in developing design concepts which include; product/trend research, color, presentation boards/materials and initial product designsproduce and implement illustrations and 3D renderings into client presentationscomplete miscellaneous projects as assigned by managementTo get hired at The Bernard Group, you MUST be: able to effectively communicate, both verbally and in writing.
