Our client, a premier supplier of exhaust gas silencers, piping, and after-treatment components, is seeking a Mechanical Designer to join their team. As a Mechanical Designer, you will be part of the Design Engineering Team supporting supporting their high volume of quotes – cranking out detailed drawings for approval.
Job Title: Mechanical Designer
Location: Northfield, MN 55057
Pay Range: Starting at $30/HR (depending on experience can go up from there)
What’s the Job?
Utilize SolidWorks to prepare detailed drawings of product components and assemblies.
Develop detailed design drawings and specifications for mechanical components and assemblies using SolidWorks.
Position instructions and comments onto drawings.
Coordinate with and consult with other workers to design, lay out, or detail components and systems and to resolve design or production problems.
Modify and revise designs to correct deficiencies or to reduce production problems.
What’s Needed?
Associate's Degree or Bachelors of Engineering
2+ years as a drafter using SolidWorks
Sheet metal fabrication and/or welding understanding
Understanding of GD&T standards
Must be able to be onsite. Will move to hybrid schedule after this person gets up to speed.
