Job SummaryProspective employees in this role will work with the Honors College Study Abroad & Study USA Programs to assist strategic planning and help execute marketing and communications projects leading up to and throughout the programs. Prospective employees must be available in advance for meetings and orientations.

Work closely with Honors College Study Abroad & Study USA Program Coordinator to assist in the overall brand and image of Honors Study Abroad & Study USA Programs marketing.

Work closely with Honors College Social Media Specialist to ensure all Honors College branding guidelines are followed.

Develop, implement, and manage our social media strategy including analytics and campaign performance tracking.

Assist in ongoing campaign analytics reporting and daily campaign optimization.

Assist in the creation and development of program-specific HTML coded e-blasts.

Create engaging text, image, and video content for multiple platforms.

Create general and program-specific social media materials and content.

Update website information and content.

Participate in brief weekly update calls with the social team.

Maximum of 20 hours per week.

Desired Qualifications

Applicants must be current Florida International University students enrolled during both the 2024 Fall and 2025 Spring semesters and eligible for Federal Work Study.

Previous study abroad/study USA experience or marketing experience preferred.

Honors College student preferred.

Must be a self-starter and possess a high level of responsibility and organization.

Must have the ability to maintain pleasant working relationships.

Must possess effective communication and strong customer service skills.

Must be computer literate and knowledgeable in Microsoft Office (specifically Excel and Word), OneDrive, Outlook, and Zoom.

Ability to use graphic tools to create flyers, posts, and infographics using Adobe Creative Suite & Canva.

Should have a reliable method of transportation for work, meetings, and events.

Should have a laptop, email, and smartphone to work as needed.

Available for Tuesday team meetings.

Ability to work flexible hours as needed.

Ability to work occasional evenings and weekends.

Ability to work throughout the 2025 Summer semester.

Who May Apply

Students enrolled at FIU, who have been awarded Federal Work Study (FWS) as part of their Financial Aid Award package.

Student must be enrolled with a minimum of six (6) credit hours in a course of study leading to a degree or a Financial Aid eligible certificate, during Fall, Spring, and Summer semesters.

Upon credits decreasing, award being canceled, or graduating, FWS employment must end.

Work ScheduleHours will vary based on class schedule and needs of department.

Advertised Salary$15.00/Hour
