In this dynamic position, you'll lead content management and oversee the presentation and organization of content across our digital platforms. You will also drive analytics by utilizing Google Analytics and other tools to generate insightful reports that support our marketing and communications campaigns. You’ll enhance discoverability by implementing innovative SEO techniques to improve our website's visibility and reach. If this sounds like you, please read on The Digital Marketing Manager takes the lead role in managing and executing the presentation and organization of content on aaos.org and the Academy’s other digital platforms to provide a positive member/customer experience and drive revenue. Provides analytics reports using Google Analytics and other tools to support marketing and communications campaigns and initiatives. Improves website discoverability by implementing search engine optimization techniques. Manages and maintains the Academy’s website, coordinating with content owners to ensure it remains up-to-date, user-friendly, and aligned with our brand identity. Collaborates with various teams to create and publish high-quality content that resonates with our target audience across all digital platforms. This includes the website, online store, Learning Management System (LMS), membership mobile app, and other digital platforms. Optimizes the user experience and provides technical, administrative and creative assistance in the development and maintenance of various digital communications and campaigns. Works collaboratively with the Marketing, Communications, and Membership Department to ensure smooth implementation and delivery. Initiates solutions to streamline processes and improve integrations with the Association Management System (AMS) and other platforms as needed. Represents the member/user perspective, recommending and implementing improvements to website organization/content and functionality Supports Marketing in its work toward AAOS strategic plan and department objectives. This includes, but is not limited to: Collaborating with information technology and other colleagues to understand and direct the architecture of user-facing platforms Partnering with cross-functional teams to drive analytics, marketing automation, web production and email in support of digital communications and campaigns Routine testing and troubleshooting of the functionality of digital platforms Continually innovates and documents workflow, specifications, and processes for the maintenance of AAOS digital platforms. Keeps detailed and accurate records of project status throughout the process. Evaluates SEO, site search, and navigation performance and initiates action to improve discoverability and customer experience related to search and navigation. Assists Digital Strategy Director in developing SEO and search architecture approaches that improve experience and results. Performs ongoing keyword research, identifies opportunities for page optimization, and continuously acts to improve relevant search results and user experience. Coordinates and implements Google Analytics, Looker Studio, Google Tag Manager, association management, and other metric to identify and report on key performance indicators related to web and digital activity. Collaborates with technical personnel and necessary outside vendors/partners to provide accurate and comprehensive reports and dashboards. Collaborates with staff from across the organization to produce and place web content, following all production specifications for the AAOS website. Adhere to the established AAOS production environment and workflow, as well as effectively communicate and sell ideas/plans internally and with business owners to gain alignment. Travel: Up to 15 days per year Qualifications: Required: Bachelor's degree in digital marketing, communications, or a related field. Proven experience in web editing, content management, and digital marketing. Proficiency in web content management systems (e.g., WordPress, Drupal) and HTML/CSS. Optimizely experience a plus. Knowledge of SEO principles and best practices. Familiarity with web analytics tools (e.g., Google Analytics and Looker Studio). Excellent organizational and project management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment. Creative thinking and problem-solving abilities. Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality. Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a collaborative team. Desired: Association or other not-for-profit work experience Travel: 10-15 days per year (approximate).
