Social Media & Content Marketing Manager
The Pat Tillman Foundation (PTF) unites and empowers remarkable military veterans and spouses as the next generation of public and private sector leaders committed to service beyond self. Inspired by Pat Tillman, who proudly put his NFL career with the Arizona Cardinals on hold to serve his country, family and friends established the Pat Tillman Foundation following Pat's death in April 2004 while serving with the 75th Ranger Regiment in Afghanistan. Over the last 20 years, the Pat Tillman Foundation has supported nearly 1,000 Tillman Scholars as they've furthered their education and increased their professional impact in the world.
We are seeking a highly skilled Content & Social Media Manager to join our Marketing & PR team. The successful candidate will be responsible for creating engaging and informative content across various social and digital platforms to amplify the Foundation's mission, programs, and impact. This role requires not only experience in social media marketing and content creation but to be a strategic thinker, creative storyteller, and collaborative team player who is passionate about empowering active duty service members, veterans and military spouses. The role is also looking for someone that aligns with the foundation's Core Values; what drives our passion, what is at our core, which is being: Reputable, Mission Driven, Collaborative, a Self Starter and Professional.
Who You Are
Requirements:
5+ years of experience in content marketing, social media management, or a related field.Portfolio showcasing writing, content creation, and social media management expertise.Strong understanding of content marketing principles, strategies, and metrics.Excellent writing, editing, and storytelling skills.Proficiency in social media platforms, content management systems (CMS), and email marketing tools.Ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a team.Passion for the Pat Tillman Foundation's mission and values.Preferred Qualifications:
Experience working with nonprofit organizations or veteran-serving organizations.Knowledge of SEO principles and keyword optimization.Familiarity with graphic design principles and video production.Experience with marketing automation platforms and CRM systems.What You'll Do
Content Creation:
Develop and execute a comprehensive content calendar that aligns with the Foundation's strategic goals and objectives.Write compelling blog posts, articles, website copy, social media updates, and newsletters that showcase the Foundation's programs, scholars, and impact.Research and work with a PR coordinator position to interview scholars, staff, and partners to gather inspiring stories and insights.Social Media Strategy:
Develop and execute a social media strategy that expands the Foundation's online presence, engagement, and influence.Manage and create engaging content (written, visual, and video) that bolsters the Foundation's online presence, including website and social media platforms.Work with the Marketing Manager lead on all analytics to review, leverage, implement and adjust strategy accordingly.Collaboration and Project Management:
Collaborate with designers, videographers, and other creative professionals to produce high-quality visual content.Ensure consistent branding, messaging, and tone across all content channels.Stay up-to-date with industry trends, best practices, and emerging platforms.What We Offer
