Job Description
The UX Writer (UXW) is responsible for contributing to the user experience and content design of CO's physical and digital product suite, including global systems for
packaging, product documentation, site, and app; turning content into core messaging, user-friendly stories, and education to meet customer needs throughout their
shopping and learning journeys. The UXW utilizes data and insights to identify pain points, ideate, and drive improvements for comprehension, accessibility, and
conversion-delivering a cohesive product experience at scale.
About You
You are a critical thinking self-starter; experienced with established and successful content design systems in a scale-up environment. You tailor products with human-
centered thinking-considering every type of user and detail to ship on-time and on-brief. You bring knowledge of information architecture, voice and tone, and language
to support product and education needs. Above all, you are focused on solving real problems for real people through collaborative research, content design, and iteration.
This position requires west coast hours with limited domestic travel for in-person events and workshops.
Key job responsibilities
. Partner with Product Management, Engineering, and UX Design to deliver an optimal, accurate, and complimentary content path.
. Push work forward on deadline; securing stakeholder buy-in and approval with usability rationale to substantiate and sell-in content decisions and improvements.
· Uphold global and regional content guidelines and design patterns to prioritize ideation, standardize, and scale.
. Use business requirements and customer research to assist in developing copy strings, content flow prototypes, high-fidelity mockups, and interaction specifications.
. Effectively communicate complicated content strategies in simple, jargon-free language.
. Drive UX solutions that endlessly advocate for the customer and ensure their voices are heard and needs are addressed.
. Participate in retrospectives and feedback loops (user testing, customer feedback) for analysis-based optimization.
. Create, organize, and archive soft copy files in Quip for continuous team accessibility.
. Listen to others, value opinions, and help team leaders set content vision to meet high-impact business goals.
A day in the life
You'll leverage design thinking best practices to deliver accurate, user-driven content and writing in support of optimal pre- and post-purchase journeys. You'll enjoy
shifting your mindset to ship a variety of devices, services, and digital products impacting the product experience for millions of users; actioning off product strategies,
beta testing, human factors audits, and insights. You'll work in close collaboration with the Product Management, eCommerce, UX Design, and UX Research teams to
execute the roadmap, deepen your knowledge, and continuously improve the customer experience.
