POSITION: Event Marketing & Media Manager

Summary

ASM Global, the leader in privately managed public assembly facilities, has an excellent and immediate opening for an Event Marketing & Media Manager for ASM Global/Caesars Superdome | Smoothie King Center | Champions Square. Primary responsibility is the promotion of events at the ASM global New Orleans Complex via creative marketing campaigns to increase exposure and ticket sales. Oversees the Graphic Design & Marketing Specialist to promote events via cross-promotions, venue websites, e-blasts, newsletters, ads, social media, and other non-traditional channels. Additionally, assist with managing media buys and placements, serving as an in-house agency when applicable. Also responsible for the creation and dissemination of targeted messaging that is issued to the public surrounding events.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Develop and manage venue complex monthly marketing schedule based upon event activity and Sales Department needs (includes advertising schedule for print/online, Eblasts, cross-promotions, and social media posts)

Work with the Director of Marketing on the development of all print/online ads, event collateral, and creation and deployment of all Eblast campaigns

Assist in creating/updating digital assets, venue advertising as directed by the Director of Marketing

Work with the Director of Marketing to update sales kits, photo presentations, and promotional collateral to promote the venues and private events

Develop overall social media content calendar and coordinate efforts with sales and marketing personnel to update all social media accounts, including Twitter, Facebook, etc., both to promote events and inform the public of facility news

Schedule and place all local and regional ads (print and online) for venue complex for all ticketed events and private event rental spaces

Work with Event Promoters & Director of Marketing on local and regional media mix, buys, and promotion; Provide all orders, invoices, tear sheets, and affidavits to Accounting for settlement

Establish and maintain relationships with Event Promoters and advertising reps (account executives for print and digital outlets)

Responsible for securing promotional commercials and slates from Event Promoters for Production Department for display on venue complex LED signage (ads, commercials, etc.)

Demonstrate marketing support to venue complex Event Promoters/clients through creation of post Event Marketing Reports

Schedule and Manage all of ASM Global related Pelicans traffic assets, including graphic signage, promoter spots, Pelicans Radio Network, Pelicans.com ads, Pelicans mobile app ads, and in-arena promotions

Assist the Graphic Design & Marketing Specialist with updates to all venue complex websites

Manage Google Analytics account, track trend/traffic and provide reports for online assets

Identify, develop and leverage bonus, trade and promotional opportunities, and event-related media appearances to drive event ticket sales and positive exposure of venues

Responsible for utilizing Ticketmaster tools and marketing resources (i.e., TM One) to create broadened exposure, drive ticket sales and traffic to ASM Global Complex websites

Participate in the development of the annual Sales & Marketing plan for the ASM Global Complex

Respond to outside inquiries on potential marketing/advertising opportunities

Assist with activating show marketing components (i.e., meet and greets)

Manage and direct grassroots campaign for all applicable events

Assist the Director of Marketing with artist/promoter gifts and event-related activations

Design of artwork for promotional/sales gifts as requested by Sales & Marketing and Department members and keep inventory of gifts and place orders

Maintains profiles and lists of all media in the market / market demographics.

Develops Event Media Advisories and escorts media / event personnel.

Creates news releases and arranges interviews pertaining to facilities, events and LSED.

Conducts media and client and special-request tours of the facilities as needed.

Prepares quarterly/annual reports.

Qualifications

Must successfully pass a driving record and criminal background check

Creative thinker who can plan and execute a diverse array of marketing campaigns across a variety of channels

Must possess the motivation and focus to manage campaigns from start to finish and measure their impact

Strong working knowledge and demonstrated experience in social media management, e-mail campaign management, and website content management

Demonstrated experience in Adobe Photoshop, InDesign, Illustrator, Google Analytics, and Microsoft Office

Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written

Strong proofreading abilities

Strong time management skills with the ability to prioritize and meet tight deadlines

Ability to work irregular hours for specific event programming (i.e., nights, weekends, and holidays)

Ability to physically move around the facility

Education and/or Experience

Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing, Communications, or related field

3-4 years’ of experience in Marketing, Public Relations, or related field

Certificates, Licenses, Registrations

Must possess a valid United States Driver’s License at time of appointment and throughout employment
