We are seeking a talented and innovative Realtime VFX artist to join our game cinematics team. The ideal candidate will bring a passion for visual storytelling and a strong skill set in creating stunning visual effects for gaming projects. As a VFX Artist, you will collaborate with producers, and other artists to bring imagination to life through cutting edge visual effects. Description:

  • Produce photorealistic real-time VFX using Unreal Engine, Niagara, and Houdini.
  • Work closely with the CG Supervisor, Art Director, and other artists to enhance gameplay and cinematics.
  • Ensure FX content is performant, within budget, and aligned with project goals.
  • Prototype FX and materials to support gameplay tone, pacing, and visual storytelling.
  • Work with leads and production to estimate and plan FX tasks, break down deliverables, and provide progress updates.
  • Research and document new workflows, contributing to process improvements.
  • Be a proactive self-starter, independently executing high-level direction and solving technical challenges.
  • Inspire and mentor others by demonstrating initiative, accountability, and a positive attitude.

Requirements:

  • 3 to 5 years of experience in VFX for games.
  • Minimum of 1 shipped title with an established game studio
  • Strong portfolio showcasing realistic, real-time FX work.
  • Proficient in Unreal Engine 5, including Niagara, Houdini, Maya, and optimization techniques.
  • Knowledgeable of game engine budgets, memory limits, and performance constraints.
