Role Overview

As a Broadcast Engineer, youll have the chance to shape the technology that powers one of the worlds fastest-growing sports leagues. This hands-on role in a startup environment offers the opportunity to directly impact the leagues growth and reach. You will support live broadcasts, content production and underlying technology that collectively reach up to 1 billion organic views per year, helping to make the content more impactful and accessible for our fans.

Job Duties
  1. Technical Operations & Maintenance: Provide frontline support for all broadcast technology, maintaining seamless operations for live production, post-production, and content creation.
  2. Systems Troubleshooting: Rapidly resolve technical issues in high-stakes, live production environments to maintain reliability and a smooth broadcast experience.
  3. Project Design & Implementation: Collaborate with the wider team to innovate, deploy, and support evolving production systemswhether on-premises, hybrid, or cloud-based.
  4. Live Production Support: Serve as a core technical resource during live broadcasts, elevating production quality and efficiency.
  5. Documentation & Standards: Develop and maintain clear documentation and best practices for broadcast workflows, ensuring operational efficiency and knowledge sharing.
  6. Continuous Improvement: Embrace new approaches and continuous improvement, challenging established norms to drive innovation and operational excellence in broadcast technology.
  7. Product Development: Help us to shape, iterate, build and improve a complex network of in-built solutions to change how live sport is produced, operated and delivered with a view to building out a B2B solution
Basic Requirements
  1. 4+ years in a broadcast/production/content creation environment, with a track record of providing technical support and innovation
  2. Proficiency in IP-based video workflows
  3. Strong foundation in broadcast systems, including video switchers, audio consoles, server-based playout, and intercom systems.
  4. Understanding of how storytelling plays the core role for fans and where technology unlocks this now and in the future
  5. Excellent communication skills, ability to manage time and processes effectively and a collaborative mindset.
Preferred Qualifications
  1. Degree in Broadcast Engineering, Communications, or related field.
  2. Experience with SMPTE standards, including 1080P, 4K, and HDR.
  3. Proficiency in IP networking and digital video standards.
  4. Knowledge of cloud-based production systems, broadcast equipment and other technologies to integrate into production
